Does anyone know a program that will automatically rotate hundreds/thousands of photos based on EXIF data? I have a program that will batch autorotate but it only does 12 at a time. So if I have 144 photos, I have to manually select 12 photos to rotate 12 times. And then if I have 1,440 photos, I have to manually select 12 photos to rotate 12 times 12 times. And let's not even get into what I have to do if I have 14,440 photos.

So, any advice? I just signed up for Photoshop CC + Lightroom though I don't think/know if that can do it.

Preferably a program that can also resize photos would be nice. An autorotate + autoresize program. I currently use PIXRESIZER for autoresizing JPEGs.

(Free is obviously optimal, but not entirely necessary.)

What do you mean "based on EXIF data?" IrfanView will batch rotate + resize, but I don't think it can do it based on specific things in the EXIF data.

The EXIF data of a pic contains the orientation of your camera when the pic was taken. So there are programs that can ascertain the "correct" orientation of a photo based on the orientation of your camera as contained in the EXIF data and apply the appropriate rotations. Based on 90-degree angles, anyway.

    I'll check out Irfanview, thanks!

@TychoCelchuuu: IrfanView was perfect - exactly what I needed. And it does have a "based on EXIF data" option.

@bowen: Haven't looked at IM yet but I'll check it out at some other point.

    Thank you both.
