Anyone know how well the Dino Crisis games play on Vita?

If no one else can answer your question I'll fire them up tomorrow.

For now I'm starting Z.H.P. Awesome beginning!

I would think they would play about as well as they did on the ps1. Dino Crisis 1 was kinda buggy if I remember correctly.

    How lucky for me!

Just today I was thinking about Dino Crisis 1 and thought "man, I should go home and grab that, it's only $6"

    And now it's only $1

Been waiting on double dragon neon sale. Not this low, but I'll take it! Also been wanting to have a digital copy of legend of dragoon and worms. This sale is just plain awesome. Not expected at all, but awesome nonetheless.

Oh man...I'd just been looking at a lot of the PS1 classics and Dino Crisis 2, Legend of Dragoon, and Wilds Arms 1 and 2 were some of the games I wanted to download but put on hold.

    Funny how that works out.

Not presently. There's the eternal (and in my opinion, likely) rumor that it'll eventually get a PS1 emulator, but right now you're looking at the other PSN consoles for that sale.

I played the hell out of Syphon Filter back in the day. They do have a stealth component, but otherwise it's pretty straightforward third person shooter, with an autolock button.

Yeah, they were only really compared to MGS because they were "spy games." In terms of content, they weren't really that similar at all, though that doesn't mean the Syphon Filter's weren't awesome in their own right (especially the PSP installments).

Opinions, I am looking for them.

I am trying to exercise more. I have a recumbent stationary bike in my office and I just moved a tv/ps3 combo into there. I started playing Guided Fate Paradox while pedaling but it's not keeping my interest enough, mostly because of extended dialog sequences. I'm looking for a traditional/strategy RPG to play while pedaling. I don't think an action RPG would work. Ideally, I could suspend/save mid dungeon OR you don't go more than 30 minutes between saves. Nothing that's more cut scene than game either. I have a Vita too, but when I try playing the Vita on the bike I get motion sick (same with reading a book) and I assume the same thing would happen with the 3ds.

So what do you recommend I play while I get fit.

Persona or one of the other SMT games. Are the $.99 games still on sale? All of those.

I don't personally like Disgaea, but probably that too. The Atelier games are pretty low key.

Personally I'd like to recommend Last Rebellion, but I'm one of like four people who liked that game.

I was playing Dragon's Crown while on a recumbent bike. Just hacking and slashing through one of the easier levels, since I can mindlessly do that. YMMV, obviously.

Perhaps off-topic, but why is a "quick look" 40+ minutes long? That's not quick at all!

That's kind of the running joke. There have been 90+ minute "quick" looks.

It makes a bit more sense to know that it's an intentional joke, but the length is the reason I've never watched one of these, and the misnaming is probably why I have this irrational avoidance for anything Giant Bomb. Seriously, I don't even want to know what they do. Don't care if it's good. First impressions and all that.

I don't mean to pile on, especially days after the fact, but... I just don't understand. You're avoiding some of the best game-related content that exists because of a naming convention?

You're supposed to hate Giant Bomb because Brad doesn't read on-screen prompts, or Rorie sighs on camera, or Alex has a chin beard... you know, rational reasons :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don't think I've ever seen anything funny from Giant Bomb. Except for one video of a guy falling off a couch or counter or something.

The one video I sat down and suffered through completely, just to see gameplay footage of a new game, they just made fun of both Dynasty Warriors and Gundam the entire time. While saying "these games are dumb all you do is hit one button over and over" they keep failing and die because...they're just hitting one button over and over and didn't learn how to play.

    Anyway, PSN related;
Did they start a 'weekly' summer sale type thing, and then almost completely drop it? Or maybe I somehow didn't notice it until the final week? Like, there was something on the store page with a few games, labeled as something along the lines of 'summer sale, new games every week', a couple weeks back, and then... basically nothing? I mean, there was a flash sale this past weekend, but that seemed unrelated?

Among other things, Assassin's Creed: Liberation was on sale?

    Maybe I'm just going crazy.

  • RenzoRenzo Registered User regular
They had a 1-week summer sale a few weeks ago. Last year, it was a 2-week thing, so I expected the same this year.

It could also be day 1 DLC or an online pass or something like that. I know that Soul Sacrifice Delta had a promotion where in the first month of sale, there were some exclusive skins/armor/hats that unlocked in a similar manner (but it also had an online pass, too, so...).
