The PS+ version is 10 cars and 1 location that contains 11 tracks. You get access to all game modes.
The retail version has 50 cars with 5 locations and 55 tracks, plus 50 special events. I think the special events are the equivalent to a single-player "Career" mode.
I just got around to trying my free Remember Me last week. I like the idea of a combo building system, but the actual combat felt very tedious. And by the 4th chapter, it seemed like that was the vast majority of the gameplay.
This is basically how I felt about Remember Me. It has some interesting ideas, but actually playing it became a chore.

So, it's quite a packed week this go around. Of course the big thing is Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor coming out on PS4 (the PS3 version will release in like a month?). Early impressions seem to be really positive, so here's hoping. Natural Doctrine also comes out on the whole suite of PS devices alongside Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on PS3, an Invizimals game on PS3 and Vita (separate games, of course) and five different Namco Museum titles as PSOne Classics.
Yes, Vol. 5. It also has Dragon Spirit which I'm interested to see how it holds up. I like having these collections so I'll probably throw down for at least a couple of them and then poke 'em every now and then like I do the Sega and Capcom classics. Some of the Namco games have an option to rotate the display 90 degrees to better capture arcade resolutions, which would almost be pretty cool for a Vita except the controls probably become unwieldy.

What are the free PSN games for October? Have they released the list yet?
I haven't played any of them but which one? As far as I'm aware, the PSP/Vita games are Augmented Reality games where you capture monsters in the "real world" and train them in the game, then have multiplayer fights with friends or whatever. It's a fairly popular series with kids in Europe, particularly Spain (where it's getting an animated series). And I'm pretty sure the PS3 one is a 3D platformer but I'm not entirely sure.
I was wondering about the Vita game. I like pet monster games, but I never got the psp version because I heard it was kind of shallow beyond the AR aspect of it (that and needing the camera peripheral was a bit of a turnoff). Do you know if the game needs multiplayer to be fun? I don't have any friends around here with a Vita.

I'm most interested in these 3 games in addition to Mordor. Hope at least one of these turns out good.
I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because fuck you is why.
I just got around to trying my free Remember Me last week. I like the idea of a combo building system, but the actual combat felt very tedious. And by the 4th chapter, it seemed like that was the vast majority of the gameplay.
That's the thing, you're not really building your own combos. You're doing the same combos, but with customized effects. Which is still cool! - But, the combos and fighting system aren't deep enough to take advantage of the idea.
I also find myself feeling the gameplay is a bit of a chore, but the world, the art direction, the backstory, all have me wanting to continue nonetheless. I dunno, we'll see how I feel at the game's end since the plot will probably make or break the game for me.
They've been going through the certification process since mid-summer and finally passed on enough consoles to release. I think the game has been PC-ready since July or so, but they wanted to make it more widely available at launch.
Want to find me on a gaming service? I'm SwashbucklerXX everywhere.
Every "The Drop" that doesn't have Nidhogg or Samurai Gunn for PS4 makes me sad. I'm finally in a situation to play them with friends but they need to come out first!
At least Sportsfriends and Towerfall were free from PS+! Those have been a big hit.

I hope it supports my Fanatec wheel. Thankfully there's the PS+ demo version so I can find out before I spend $60 on the game. There's no mention of support for Logitech wheels which doesn't bode well for me (and for those that have Logitech wheels) because the drivers for my Fanatec are loosely based on Logitech's G25/27 drivers.
They haven't said yet. Months ago the Dev's said they were working to make sure any wheel that worked on the PS3 will work with Drive Club on the PS4, but who knows if that's still the case.

So, yeah, there's quite a lot of stuff. Shadow of Mordor is definitely the main thing on PS4, but Pier Solar and Natural Doctrine (both on PS3 as well, the latter being on Vita too) bear mentioning as well. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax comes out on PS3 as the main thing there, and Vita's exclusive thing is the Invizimals game which is apparently far different from the PS3 game on PS3.
Sales are a thing, looks Konami-centric, and we can all still hope for Suikoden 2, so if you want to grab Suikoden 1, now is the best time if you haven't already.
I'm not sure why Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate was added again unless the original versions were bundled with DLC or something. KOEI likes doing limited bundles like that for some absurd reason.
If anyone got into the Crew beta today, does your code work? Apparently a lot of people are having issues with errors on the beta code, myself included.
I hate to sound ungrateful, but this month's PS+ selection is pretty underwhelming.
Arkham Asylum when they already gave out Arkham City is a weird choice.
I guess Spelunky is good for anyone who doesn't already have it (I honestly thought it had already been a Plus game, but looking it up it seems that it hasn't).
I'll give these games a shot, but nothing in that list is catching my interest.

Nope. I'm guessing we'll get them some time in the next few days, with the update itself next week.
Since the first Tuesday of the month is the 7th, I expect them to announce the games closer to the end of this week.
Oh shit, that's right! I thought that name was familiar. Hmm. Might have to pick that one up for Remote Play.
Should be a pretty good haul for me this week with that and a couple of the Namco Museums, and Natural Doctrine (Vita) and Ultimax arriving in trucks.
