Driveclub finally rides onto PS4 this week after several long delays, but with any luck, they've all been to drive the quality of the game to its highest point to satisfy everyone who's been waiting. Divekick, Dust: An Elysian Tale, Spelunky and Pix the Cat fill out the PS4's indie catalog this week, joined with Alien: Isolation (also on PS3) for those brave souls willing to give Sega yet another chance. Godspeed, you crazy diamonds.
I *may* get DC, but it depends on how I like the PS+ version, and whether I feel like I need more than that. I tend to burnout (I'm not sorry) on driving games pretty quickly most of the time, so a small sample version might be all I need.
I'll never understand the appeal of Divekick. Maybe because I mostly play fighting games casually?
This is actually why I like Divekick.
Sure, I don't really get a lot of the in-jokes, but it's a neat hook to not have to worry about movesets, and supers, and whatnot.

Yeah, this is really the shining brilliance of Divekick. It is the perfect "strip away all the system knowledge and years of fighting game experience, I just wanna fight you" game. Some light execution, and otherwise all just reading your opponent. Friends I have who never play fighting games still challenge me at Divekick now and again. Glad to see it's finally making it to PS4.

PS Plus decent? I really want to try out the first Infamous.
Yes.
I have something along the lines of 20+ good games on the PS3 from it, and a lot of what I've got for PS4 came from it. It's... just worth it. Mind you getting in earlier meant you got more, but there's nothing keeping them from bringing another game back.
You wouldn't get access to the first Infamous though, unless you had PS+ at the time and 'downloaded' it.
Dunno if the first Infamous was just a poor choice, or if my internet is just wonky, but there's something weird about the frame rate that I can't quite place. Glad I tested it out on the two dollar rental.
Tried it out with VF5 because I knew that would be the most demanding game in terms of frame perfection
For emulation I've always been of the mindset that "if you can't do it right, don't do it at all," and this is not doing it right. It reminds me of when the 360 could play original Xbox games, but, well, you know, there were a ton of bugs and glitches presented by doing so.
It's the first Tuesday of the month, which is today, that the games come.
This month's titles were announced last Wednesday: Drive Club (PS+ edition), Spelunky, and Dust on PS4, D&D Arcade game and Batman: AA on PS3, and I forget what the vita titles are.
Vib Ribbon; or a bunch of people who have no clue what Vib Ribbon is will buy it because of hype from game journos, play it for 10 minutes, say "What is this crap!?", and never touch it again.
Also, I thought Driveclub was supposed to be $49 for Plus subscribers? The only option I get is $59.

Probably $49 for preorder.
Nope, it's $49 for PS+ subscribers, but I wager because it's "out" now, and the PS+ stuff isn't there yet for this month, that's why it's showing up full price.

Personally, if we're going to get any title from the 'levels generated by your music' genre, I'd rather it be Audiosurf.

Audiosurf wouldn't be the same without being able to plug right into my several hundred gigabytes of mp3s, though.

All I'm saying is that if the PS4 released Audiosurf and it was only compatible with Music Unlimited, I'd still buy it and a subscription to the Music Unlimited.

Well we are all getting the psplus edition. I guess most people will treat it as an extended demo before making a purchase decision

Didn't someone earlier in the thread say that a "club" was limited to three people?
Also, it seems a club is limited to 6.
Plus, this article leaves me scratching my head at some of the design decisions they made for the game.

Fuckin'
Hell of a week right there
Divekick is basically a type of elaborate injoke.
Sure, I don't really get a lot of the in-jokes, but it's a neat hook to not have to worry about movesets, and supers, and whatnot.

Vib Ribbon is coming out, and the Sony post has a collage of tweets from angry journos at E3, and a huge apology at the end.

Also, if you happen to still own any CDs, you can pop one in your PS3 while you play Vib Ribbon to create unique stages.

Drive Club isn't out yet.
So what time is Driveclub "out"?
I'm seeing some pretty bad reviews, no way I'm dropping money on it before playing the Plus version now.

Says on the store page that it releases today.
Unless the PS+ package comes later, I dunno why it wouldn't drop the same day as the full game?
Standard retail game outing time, which I believe is midnight PST in US and Friday in EU (though the store says tomorrow in EU, so that'd be nice).
Driveclub retail is up. No PS+ version right now though.
