On-topic-ish, I'm starting to regret the PS4 buy. I took a look at the "exclusives" list, and the stuff that's ONLY PS4 is pretty light. I'm starting to think I could have ridden this generation out with just my PC.
Though you'd have to take my Vita from my cold, dead hands.
PS4 is going to be the system to play P5 on when it releases, though
Hard to say if it's not showing up on One. There is precedent for fighters to not have a Microsoft release in Japan but get one in the West. If it somehow is console-exclusive though, whoo boy what an interesting deal.
In which case, why would they mention the PC as well? It's not as dead as the Xbone over there but it's pretty close.
Yeah, that's a fair point. Just seems kind of weird for Capcom to leave the One standing in the street (at least in the West, especially so given the 360 preference among the FGC), but also kind of weird for Sony to make an exclusivity deal for a fighting game.

Uh, PC is not dead. PC is doing just fine; nearly everything AAA has been getting ported, and Capcom has anecdotally done quite well on Steam. Hence my minor regrets about getting the PS4; there's just not enough exclusivity to justify it.

My PS4 hasn't gotten a lot of exclusive mileage, but the PS+ games have been fun, the cross plat games I've bought on it have been fun, and Bloodborne and The Order are a few months away, so I most definitely don't have any buyer's remorse.

It'll be a system seller for some people I'm sure, I'm just skeptical it's all that many, compared to people that will just go "well forget it, it's on PC" or compared to people that will just go "great, I already owned a PS4". I mean, if Sony thinks it's worth it, great, but all the iterations of SFIV sold millions on 360, and that's a big number for Capcom to ignore without a hefty incentive. This isn't quite the same as a BBCP/P4AU/Xrd situation where the game has no chance on 360/One in Japan, and the anime crowd's already heavy on PlayStation. (Note that the 360 version of P4A did pretty poorly by all accounts, even in the West.)
Not saying it's impossible to be console-exclusive to Sony, just saying it'd be exceptional. But definitely interesting.

I don't think I've spent more than a handful of hours on all the PS4 PS+ games (I still need to go try out Injustice); I'm far more likely to pick up my Vita if I want to play something "smaller" like that. Bloodborne and The Order do nothing for me; the former because I've never played a Souls game, and the later because I'm getting a real sense it's going down the same "neat but really flawed" path that most of this year's big AAA releases have gone. I mean, it's only a light remorse. I platnumed Infamous, and I'm sure I'll be day one for Uncharted, but most of the games I'm looking at for PS4 I can get cheaper on Steam.

Pretty sure Unco-ordinated meant PC in Japan, which by all accounts is still pretty dang niche as a market. The SF ports on Steam were for us, not Japan. His point was a counterpoint to mine about how Japan-centric the trailer may or may not have been.

PSN hasn't taken my credit card info for over a month and a half now, and when I called just now to ask why, they are saying that my address is raising fraud flags when I try to change my credit card info. My card works literally everywhere else I try it and my address is very simple, so there's no chance it's different than what my bank has on file. The lady on the phone sounded exasperated and told me there's nothing they can do, and if I want to buy anything from them I have to go buy prepaid cards.
Has anybody else had this issue? This is extremely frustrating because I have been completely unable to purchase the things I want without making a trip into town to buy cards, which sucks.

"Capcom USA" is in the text at the bottom of that last card in the trailer. Not sure what that means for US/Japan focus, but of interesting note.

PS4 handles all the high-end stuff I could want, and a lot of the smaller games too.
I'm much happier dropping the $350-ish I spent on a PS4 and having games just work than doing all the research and tweaking and purchasing needed to get PC games working.

We left 1998 behind 16 years ago, man. Least you could do was update your preconceptions.
Hint: I didn't have to spend anything to keep up with the generation shift, my pc was already good to go, and my CPU is like three generations behind (Core i5 2500K). My GPU (Radeon HD7950 3GB) is one year younger than that, still not top gear, still better than a console. The research and tweaking and purchasing I've done since the PS4 was announced: zero.

Good for you. I bought and assembled my PC a year before The Witcher 2 launched. It practically screamed at me when I ran Tomb Raider on it. I'm not going to even pretend it can handle Shadow of Mordor or Dragon Age Inquisition at anything resembling what my PS4 can do.

I feel you. I don't expect The Order to be any good, just because I always expect everything that isn't proven from a developer I trust to disappoint, but I hope to be wrong. Bloodborne i'm hyped as fuck for but that's because I'm an avid Souls lover.
I mostly play multi plats on my PS4 right now because it's way more convenient for me to play them there than on my PC.
Since you mentioned Diablo in another post, I can tell you D3 is really good on PS4. Wife and I are big fans of Diablo and we weren't sure how we'd feel, having played so many years of Diablo with a mouse. But they did a really good job with the PS4 version, and most importantly the couch co-op is easy and just works nicely.
I can't imagine a Capcom game staying exclusive to just one platform in any way, shape or form. Maybe the re-release, but by the time they make Ultra Super Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition, it'll be out for everything.

The concept of The Order, the world... everything there sounds awesome. But so far, all I've seen is bog standard third person cover shooter, and I couldn't care less.

It appears to be GTAV, Last of Us Remastered and Dying Light so far at least. GTAV is $70 but comes with $500,000 for GTA Online which isn't too great imo. Last of Us Remastered is $40. Dying Light is 10% off and is $70, its the ultimate bundle that comes with the season pass.

The concept of The Order, the world... everything there sounds awesome. But so far, all I've seen is bog standard third person cover shooter, and I couldn't care less.
Still super pretty, though.
Wonder when it will go up, and what else will be included
I can't wait for Ono to say, "If Street Fighter V comes out on Xbox One, I'll cut my own head off."
I'm pretty fond of the PS3.

I'm seeing TLoU remastered at 35, GTA5 at 60 with cash card and Dying Light Ultimate at 72 as part of the PS Experience sale.
(spoilered to keep the post size down)
