I decided against better judgement and read Corg's bio.
He is a Corgi that likes to collect bones but instead of burying them he adds them to his mech, which he pilots from an almost throne-like seat, which he uses to kill more void creatures for their bones.
He is a dog collecting alien bones for his bone throne.
Amazing.
Fits with the lore of League surprisingly better than the other options.

I first picked Kassadin in a ranked game last night and someone on the other team promptly dodged : /
Please consider the environment before printing this post.
Pretty rough lichbane nerf for people its core on.
Love the corg pup driving the giant mech. RIOT PLEASE.
Played some fiora games in ranked, crushed the first 2, got crushed the last one by jax. Dont FP fiora.
She has some tough match ups. Just have to recognize them and play for mid late game. CC really hurts her so jax and renekton can be tough. But I have beat both in lane and then just murdered later on. I will pick her into anything pretty much and then it is just a matter if I play conservative or not. 14 wins to 5 losses with her the last two weeks.
Renekton is hard, but not a hard counter. Unless you can royally outplay jax, I dont think you can win lane against him. Any advice for that lane would be appreciated.
That is not a winnable lane for Fiora unless the Jax is wildly wildly worse at Jax is than the person playing Fiora is at playing Fiora.
Jax outtrades Fiora in straight up auto attack battle with his ultimate up, and his E negates her entire ultimate. She just has no chance in a fair fight.

With both champs you are just worrying about their stun. And they both have pretty decent tells when they are going for the stun. If I am just getting stomped I tower farm. If not I do my best to avoid the stun and immediately after I Q on them for harass while it is on cool down. I also run armor pen runes on her so I am getting good damage onto them right from level 1. It makes last hitting harder but it is worth imo. Especially now that the doran's shield is nerfed so you can start blade if you like.
Edit - also don't panic if you are missing cs to their harass. Not worth dying. Just get what you can and know that once you have your hydra you will get your farm.
My recent matches are here http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/25186621#matches granted my one loss on her there is to a Jax but we were even in lane, I have a positive score and by the end of the game all my stats were higher than him.
Velkoz so much fun. Though his turning radius on his lazer is such shit when you are close. I wonder if getting the move speed item + ghosts is good on him. Hmmmmmmm could be interesting.

I just started playing again, got Vel'koz, like him a lot. Still hate my teams though. :P
Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln
They should change Teemo's ult to a passive where if he himself touches you then you get poisoned and slowed. Then he can go stealth and be the mushroom, or just chase you around like the true terror he deserves to be.
I think I can say that Vel'koz seems like a crappy support.
In my attempts to learn to play Jinx without feeding during laning, my one success was Jinx/Soraka vs. Quinn/Vel'koz. Which sadly says *nothing* about my Jinx skills or lack thereof. Game before that, I actually went 0/5 in lane...and still won the game, mostly by splitpushing while my non-crappy teammates had teamfights. What. How come I can feed like crazy in normal games and win but as soon as I play ranked, I win lane and don't die and then lose? Hmmm.
Still, I might take a small break from League and just get my first win of the day until not every game has 8 Vel'kozes in it.
Ok, that's not the reason at all, I am actually just compelled to binge on the new expansion to Shadowrun Returns, although, man, I am super-addicted to League....

Your normal MMR is higher than your ranked MMR. In normals, you comparatively suck, but your teammates carry and protect you. In ranked, you comparatively rock, but your team doesn't know how to protect an ADC for shit and depend on you to carry them, which you can't, so you lose.
Oh, and I finally played a bot game as Nautilus. Completely did not realize his passive roots champions on auto attack. Things you learn by slowly working through the champion roster.
So...I get why he would be kinda bad in a solo lane. But...can someone explain why he wouldn't be a solid support? His ult seems good for ganks. His hook is blocked by minions, but so are other hooks. His shield should help him not die. I see him as someone who would mostly wait in the bush until it was time for an all-in or to disengage from an enemy all-in. Like if Leona dashed to you, you wouldn't mind, and if she dashed to your carry, you would either hook her carry or go in on her. Is the problem that his mana costs are too high?
Or is getting fed vs bots and buying like Wit's End and a bunch of dumb damage items just giving me a terrible sense of what it's like to play Nautilus?
His hook isn't as easy to thread through minions as Blitz or Thresh, hooking somebody in laning phase is not as potent on him as it is on blitz, and he's just outright a worse support than Thresh kit wise. He's not a terrible champ to play as support, but there are just better picks than him. I think I saw him played as support in an OGN game this week in fact, probably because Thresh was banned.
The prevailing theory here is that "all of his damage is tied to his shield" and "everything he does someone else does better."
YMMV. I've had some success with him as support. The shield doesn't do as much as you hope it would early. His cooldowns are long, his mana costs suck, and honestly Leona brings about as much CC as he does but with more durability and more damage enablement for her team.
He can work, he's just not as strong as other hookers in lane.

Nautilus support has been played in OGN Quals this season. But then again, the same player also picked Trundle support.
Also, I'm excited for the Ruby Crystal change. I wonder how well a Ruby + 3 pots start would work for Support into a blazing fast Sightstone.

The main problem naut has is that he's made of paper early-game, when his entire kit is built around him tanking stuff for the team. If you get on him early, he can never catch up.

It is probably how i will be starting most games unless the Gold items turn out to be a lot better than they look.
I don't think they are, Ruby's probably going to be the best start.
I also don't want to sound too pessimistic but so far I'm suspicious that the changes might have been an overall nerf to the traditional supports. Being squishier (because who wasn't running Doran's shield?) affects Sona, Nami and Janna way more than Leona or Annie, and Zyra, Annie and Morg are going to be getting way more usage out of the bonus damage from the Spellthief line than them.
I'll give it a week or so for the dust to settle, but I'm currently incredibly skeptical that this patch is going to dethrone Leona, Thresh and Annie. At best we'll be seeing more Lulu, Morg, maybe Karma and Zyra.

I still don't understand what the "added damage" actually is. Is it AD/AP? True Damage? Some combination? I also see it as absolutely necessary on Lulu, since it takes her poke that much better.
Also, what's the over-under on Lulu getting nerfed next patch, we should start a betting pool.

@Roz - They've been vague about whether it's physical or magical because it's both. It's physical damage if it's added to physical damage, and magic damage if it's added to magic damage.

When has a champion ever managed to pull themselves out of the support ghetto without being nerfed back down? I predict hard nerfs to glitterlance base values.

Its not that he is super bad it is as was said there almost always is a better choice. One of my big gripes with him is while his shield is up he can do a lot of damage and is nasty but really you need a dedicated bubbler to try to protect it as best as possible to get the most out of naut and that is just way to much coordination to expect in pugs and low level ranked.
Glitterlance isn't Lulus problem areas tho it's the +100% move speed and 1k+ shields.
So you're saying incoming nerfs to Karma?
I'm not sure why Lulu has become a major pick mid but watching the LCS today, Lulu has been picked/banned in every game. That usually (but not always!) means a champion will be nerfed. I doubt shields and movement speeds are the issue given that other not played champions like Jana and Karma have better.

Lulu is popular because she is a massive early lane bully and can use her lead to roam really well and help snowball other lanes and then transitions well into late game with decent damage and truly disgusting amounts of utility that can syngergize very well with several other popular champions

It's her range combined with her mobility that makes her so strong. Help, Pix! being able to more than double the range of Glitterlance makes her a power and safe lanebully/teamfighter. Her powerful slow and her powerful speed boost makes her near impossible to run from once engaged.
Once Glitterlance hits a <6s CD, you can land two during the duration of a Help, Pix! for easy, free damage. The fact that Glitterlance shoots out 2 projectiles means you can potentially hit an entire teamfight with it. Proper Glitterlance use puts all of Karma's and Janna's offense to shame.

Lee Sin top keeps rushing and going all in, and gets ganked repeatedly by enemy jungle since he's always past the midpoint and never wards. Enemy Yasuo top is 6/0 by 15 min.
Xerath mid keeps nuking down the whole creep wave and then walks forward with it, almost always being at enemy tower. Gets ganked and killed repeatedly. Complains he can't escape ganks without blue because mana issues.
Both of them demand more ganks and it's entirely our junglers fault that they aren't getting them (rather them always pushing towards tower and having given up kills fast to enemy lanes).
I wish I could get a promo game that wasn't impossible to win, but if I could save that game I'd be challenger tier or something. Fed Yasuo, fed Wukong, fed Vi does not lead to winning games, AT ALL. Sure, we were even bottom, but with all that fed engage it doesn't matter - they just jump in, kill someone, and push.
