I seem to be getting first-pick a lot in draft, so I've just been banning out Annie/Thresh/Riven (because screw that noise) and just picking Leona up for myself or someone else on my team who wants her. And faces are then smited so hard.

The key to the cow is to try your combo at max W range. I believe it is much harder to pull off reliably when you headbutt from mid to short range. Also people have forgotten how to play against him so you can just look for easy flash Q W combos to punch people into tower aggro or an easy gank.
Well obviously it depends on the game, but i find that the big items are too expensive unless you get really fed/far ahead. I like tank items better because they allow you to bully. If you're squishy you cannot stand around in front and threaten a root/ult pick. Additionally you can't body block for your ADC.
That's fair, but I feel that if you just wanted to body block for your ADC and threaten picks, you probably shouldn't have picked Morgana. Shit, pick Alistar, since we're assuming this is trying to counter Leona. Okay, you can't troll shield your ADC, but your durability is better and your peel is better and depending on positioning you can still create a pick.
It may even just be schools of thought for what you want to do as a support. If you've got Morgana, I think you're all but obligated to want to go deep with Flash and land that perfect ult, which predicates the Zhonya's pick.
Morgana's peel, with black shield and 3 second root on a 6.6 second CD is actually pretty good. Her pick potential exists regardless of her AP, but its weaker when she doesn't have the ability to force an engagement without exploding

Just had a very frustrating game as Trist, where I was super fed, but could not win the game because I was the only source of damage for our team. Our only engage was Lee Sin, so the other team just turtled the game out til they outscaled us and I couldnt kill their darius, j4, and twitch fast enough.
Also, I think that Vel Koz is soft countered by Ziggs, early laning phase is a complete nightmare and the fact that his satchel charge screws your ult means you arent going to kill him in lane.
First ranked match in EUW went as about as expected. our ADC never connected . Doesn't matter I got Rengar; please excuse me while I farm top, ward up and drag four of your team members top ult and you all search for me in the wrong direction . We won. I forgot how silly rengar is and that q bug is also very very silly. Ahh well gold here I come.

Even with that upgrade, the wriggles line is still going to be inferior to the spirit stone jungle items
That's pretty ridiculous. I could see an argument for moving the silence to his W activation, but removing it entirely removes one of his most signatures abilities.
Maybe it's an Eve treatment, (which is absolutely terrible game design)?
Sure, take away the silence from the anti-mage assassin. Oh wait. I don't see that staying that way. It looks like they changed it to interrupt channels but not silence, and to give him a shield I guess to make up for not silencing, but that's just dumb.
I want Kassadin to not be too strong, but if he's going to be an anti-mage assassin then he needs tools that make him do that.

What? Well his passive makes him take 15% less damage from magic damage, so that's a pretty simple thing that makes him better against mages than non mages. And his Q right now silences, which makes him more effective against mages(More accurately more powerful against people who rely on abilities, but the spirit is that it hurts mages the most since their auto attacks do nothing.)

Making him forced to right click things but having a ton of tankstats means he'd be able to blink in rightclick a few times on someone and then blink out over a wall. This makes Ryze even more pointless though.

his Q is equally effective on mages, most junglers, supports, and some top laners, silence is not an inherently anti-mage ability
