but AS / on-hit items are probably too weak for the cost aside from FF, so I think that mucks up the analysis
The growth of mobility and CC are good for LoL as they make for more interesting plays and skill interactions, but each one also makes AS / on-hit less attractive and especially less attractive for melee.
FF probably needs a nerf (cost increase would probably be sufficient, as that slows down the growth rate and puts it more on par with spirit stone items). I'd be fine with Wits End being a little more attractive for the cost or having an upgrade available later.
For the time being I'm glad its around, it lets some AA junglers make unexpected returns.
for a game where wriggles is built but not FF it pretty much just has to be games where the losing team either surrendered or got rolled in 25 minutes, i'd think.
Wriggles still has a 33% win rate but yes It should be amazingly hard to win without transforming wriggles because winning means more access to jungle creeps which means a faster transformation.
Yeah, my hypothesis works both ways. Team with a feral flare jungler crushes so hard that the other team folds before he notches enough jungle kills. Of course, since FF is a late game strategy it makes sense that it'd be way less likely for a pre-transform win than a pre-transform loss.
i like how we've become so accustomed to a new, slow release date that no one's like "hey how come there hasn't even been a hint to the next champion" when vel'koz came out a month and a half ago

I don't think I'm even ready for a hint to the next champion. There's so many goddamn champions, and a new meta every week.
He's great fun, I really love him. He requires really strong mechanical competence though I play him whenever my opponent doesnt have a crazy gapclose or silence. Hai's been practicing with him and doing well there.
I had a lux yesterday on my team, worked rather well. Mainly because we had some decent frontline and zone control, and their only person that could dive hard was xin.
Lux isn't bad at all but she doesn't work very well against hyper mobile champions - and those champions are popular right now.
Lux is a little better of than velkoz as she is more burst and ulti cant be interrupted. I won a game hard with her (gold 2) the other day, but roaming bot and helping secure some early dragons with making a few picks with light binding, lucient singularity, ult burst. But yeah she does suffer from the fact that everything she does, ziggs does pretty well, but he has an escape and she isnt an assassin.

Hey does anyone know what a suitable internet speed is for LoL (or have any experience playing on a slow connection)? I ask because I currently play just fine with a 25 Mbps advertised connection speed (testing shows 20 down / 5 up) but am considering downgrading to the 3 Mbps advertised speed to save some money. No one else uses the internet in any significant capacity and LoL is pretty much the only game I play over the intertubes outside the occasional brobox game.

Oooh, next champion has apparently been confirmed to be a support.
I'm pretty curious about what a support designed post-Thresh is going to look like.
Q: Heal for 10/20/30/40/50 HP
W: Increase target unit's armor and MR by 1/2/3/4/5 for 5 seconds
E: Haste target unit by 5/10/15/20/25%
R: Stun self for 50 seconds

the ult will be a toggle transform between Thresh/Leona/Janna/Soraka with the associated Q/W/E abilities
Each ability has two effects: one from each original support. The ult shuffles these.
There are no heals.
@Sir Landshark 3 is very low. Your "ping" as displayed in-game will jump up to 1000ms every time a fly sneezes anywhere between you and your main backbone.

Ahahaha...
If it's not obvious how I feel Riot is treating supports, it would be a -1 ratio on everything but the ult, and 5.0 on the ult.

Basically if they support permanent maps like Dominion and TT it steals a portion of the player base from the one true game mode. That's why they like the featured game rotation since it's a temporary experience you can't get too attached too, keeping you away from what is really important in LoL. Incidentally murderbridge is considered harmless.
Why doesn't Riot support Dominion or Twisted Treeline?

Because, y'know, actually having supported alternatives for people to play when they get burned out of SR all the time is a bad thing, so people could actually continue playing League instead of exiting out and playing a different game.
God I can't wait for Heroes of the Storm to come out.

That's a bullshit excuse, and they know it. SR is so firmly entrenched as the main mode that properly supporting another mode will barely dent the SR playerbase, let alone divide League itself.
Edit - That said, I do like the rotating featured gamemodes, I think it's a neat idea.
Feral Flare is almost certainly too good for the cost, but the champs most likely to get it are JV junglers. Elise, Kha and Lee are all still getting spirit items. It's guys like Xin, Udyr, WW, and Yi that get FF to make them competitive. Basically you drop a too good item in for auto-attackers to paper over the fact that they're mediocre or worse.
It's particularly beneficial in bronze where it's almost always better to hard farm your camps and only gank if the enemy is pushed way up.

So I just played two games where the weirdest thing was happening to me: the camera was zooming in for no apparent reason. I thought maybe I was hitting my mouse scroll by accident, but it seemed to happen when I was just moving the mouse around a lot. I can't repeat the behavior (inadvertent scrolling) in any other program. I went into the settings to remove whatever keybindings were set to zoom and...there aren't any?
I've gotten a bunch of good entries for the Riot Ward skin contest. I know they're limited time only codes, so I will keep it open until I get home from work tomorrow afternoon. Ideally, I will be able to find a winner in the EU and NA realms.
If you're late to the party, make me a haiku featuring your favorite lane or jungle camp.
The beginning of the question was cut off, I'm pretty sure she was actually asking if there were going to be more maps, like TT and Dominion. That's why after his spiel he said the featured game modes "are the strategy we're looking towards moving forward, rather than other permanent maps." Which is something they have said many times before and is completely fair. Talking about featured game modes has nothing to do with a question about why haven't you supported TT and Dominion more.

Except it has lots to do with it?
He said very clearly that they don't want maps competing with SR and they very, very much prefer the funsy modes like URF and All For One. I don't agree with their position, but if you look at everything they've done with non-SR maps lately, you can see it is shaping their approach to League. I think Burnage is on the right track about Dominion and Twisted Treeline, and they will probably become part of the for-fun rotation Riot likes so much.

WW is still the same jungler he always was.
Garbage pre-6, strong at 6 and later if farmed, but his reliance on his ultimate to make any plays hurts him significantly.
Until 6 he can't do anything unless maybe top lane pushes right up to the tower and has no mobility and isn't running flash?
At 6 he has a very very strong gank, but its on a very long CD.
FF makes him much scarier late game, but WW has always been scary late game if he farms.
