More than likely going to buy that one

You can always just enter the KI tournament. Participants get a pin.
And I am not particularly good - I can't get past rank 4.

Unfortunately, the tournament seems to be scheduled for the same time as the Acquisitions Inc. D&D game (which has its own hard to get pin), so pin collectors are going to have to choose between the two.

Dunno, there's only one listed on the schedule though - http://east.paxsite.com/schedule/panel/killer-instinct-tournament

Also, it says it's a 32 player tournament.

That's not what I mean, with some fighting games, some booths have had tournaments right in the expo hall, and they might just do random tournaments throughout the day or something, plus randomly challenging Dan. (This is honestly what I'm hoping it is, because having it on Sunday during the AI panel is just awful timing).

Sadly the tournament is running the same time as the Acquisitions Inc panel. I must give myself an intense training montage and defeat you.

There is usually regular tournaments, but for something like this, where it needs to be organized plus you're getting a pin, I can see how it would be the one during the AI panel. Besides, they DO technically give you a way of earning the pin without doing the tourney, its just equally as tough for a novice of the game.

On his Facebook page MC Frontalot has said he will have 1000 of his pins at East. He said he'll be "getting rid of them for years to come." Lol, he probably doesn't realize how popular pinny arcade is now. Hope there are still some available when I'm there on Sunday. :D

Don't be surprised, a lot of people aren't really on board with it yet, and a lot of people aren't into "catching 'em all" either. At least I know I can wait a bit on this pin, though I'm sure I'll just rush through all of bandland grabbing all the pins at once.

At only 1000, it could go either way, Kris is still selling Chainsaw Suit on his site, but Skull Fart is long gone. Either way, I want two.

I am assuming that the folks suggesting catching people on the way out haven't been to PAX East before. If you guys stand outside the exits and actually stop people while exiting the main theater, enforcers will ask you to leave. The crush of people exiting is huge. It's also very dangerous to stop people at the bottom of the escalator. It's one thing if you're handing something out, or holding a sign away from the flow that people could read, but actively stopping people and engaging in a conversation (which it would take to get them to let you buy stuff from them) is a terrible idea, safety wise. It's not like at PAX Prime where you come out of the paramount and there's the whole street, people exiting the MT at East are funneled onto narrow escalators to get back down to the rest of the show.

If you are serious about trying to catch people right after the panel, your best bet is on the second floor, after people are *well* away from the escalators, so it doesn't cause congestion issues.

Well yes, I didn't mean people should just turn around at the exit doors and start hassling people.. :P

Basically this, yeah. Lots of pin guys aren't super hardcore and don't want to collect them, some only want whichever look nice to them. I'd imagine more people are going insane about the KI/AI pins then they are for MC Frontalots.

I got my East Saturday Pass in today. That's the good news; bad is that I don't have the money for a trip to Boston. I don't think selling it would work, so hoping that if i gave it to someone who wants to go, they could give me some of the new pins at the show.

It just occurred to me, with this overflow of new pin designs and news, we've all seemingly skipped over the most important thing...

Plans changed, money wasn't saved up for the trip, stuff happens. But more good news is I got the Christmas set and Aquisitions set in today. The collection grows! Wa ta!

Yay for the Little Guy, but I'm way more excited for the Pink Knight. He was the character I played the most after the Green Knight. He smiles as he slaughters XD

Not sure if this has been posted before, but here is how to get the LEEROY JENKINS pin from Blizzard
The rare Leeroy Jenkins Pin can be obtained by finding our designated “Leeroy Jenkins” Blizzard employee charging around on the show floor. If you happen to find Leeroy and impress him with your best Battlecry, he’ll give you a Whelp* card that you can redeem at the Blizzard booth for your pin. Keep an eye out on our Twitter at @PlayHearthstone and communicate with fellow pin collectors using the hashtag #WheresLeeroy to find out when Leeroy and his whelps are roaming the floor. Quantities are limited, so keep an eye out for this legendary opportunity!

Alright? Let’s do this! We’ll see you at PAX East!

*Please be careful when handling whelp cards. Do not touch whelp cards to other whelp cards, or they may multiply uncontrollably and fill the expo hall with whelps. There will be no escape. You have been warned.

@Imsorad Though I don't not plan on doing this as I don't like mass hordes running in my general direction...I have only been to Prime so knowing this is actually good. The room outside of the panels is, as @Zerzhul said, sometimes just emptying into a street...so for those of us that HAVEN'T been to East this is good info actually. ;)

Yeah, the way East is set up, the main theater is on the top floor of the convention center, and you take escalators up. Once the panels usually end, it becomes PACKED, and there has been plenty of times when I've been riding that escalator down and people get stuck on the bottom and it gets really tight.

That is in the FAQ that was sent over.

    Here are the full questions.
    FAQ wrote:
    • Which of the just announced Pins will be at PAX Prime?
    • In particular, will the Acquisitions Inc Pin be at Prime?
    • Will the Acquisitions Inc WoTC Pin be 1 per person to every attendee, or will it be handed out to those who want them at the end in a more typical 2 per person fashion? (Please say the latter)
    • Why no preview of the new Merch Pin? Is it going to be at PAX East?
    • What about yours and Jerry’s new Pins?
    • Are the Staff still carrying their heads around in a bag?
    • Are there any 2014 reprints to be had at East?
    • What about production numbers? How many are coming to East?

  • VaanroseVaanrose Pin Cushion SeattleRegistered User regular
Has anyone heard about who the new fourth member of Acquisitions Inc is? The announcement specifically says "new intern", so it's not Patrick or Wil, but it doesn't list who the fourth person is.

If they're being secret about it, it's probably somebody big. Are there any confirmed guests for East that might fit the bill?

I'm pretty sure the staff pins will still be there, depending on whatever staff members are there. The post that Mike posted was just purely 3rd party pins.

That's sort of what I figured. They'd dump whatever was left from Prime into the machines, but they wouldn't order any more of them.
