It actually belongs to my 12 year old. He asked Mike if he had any Australian pins at South pin trading and he got this. Didn't realize what he had till later and was disappointed it was Prime. I then had to explain he got a misprint. Now he has it locked away where I can't steal it.
I've been asking repeatedly to be put into a group, to no avail. So I throw this out to anyone out there (hardcore) who wouldn't mind having another aussie in their group. With less than two weeks to go and I'm getting little to no feedback here, I need to know what my options are if I'm to get some PAX East pins.

Even if I don't have a DLC, I figure I am at least in a pretty exclusive club :-)
Does anyone know how many of these are out in the wild?

That sounds like a miscommunication. The idea that it was a single "tray" that got swapped comes from the casting section of the video below, where there are around 12 to 20 in a single moulding tray. What I suspect happened is that one batch of Pins was emptied out of the mould, and put in the wrong part for filling. Whoever was working the filling station didn't notice they had a bunch of incorrect shields, because when you are filling 1000 Pins one colour and 1000 Pin another colour, are you really paying attention to the foreign letters at the top of every single one? Because before they get coloured, that's the only difference between them. The East, Prime and Aus letters.

opps just checked the roster you're already on there... I don't think that there are any aus spots open on the hardcore or the enthusiast list
as soon as we get a new prime or east member I will assign you, the application pending section is keeping the rosters nice and clean and active. Roster 1.0 had a lot of groups that had one person in it for a long time and even until I reset everything, this way is cleaner.
Looks like Katie Rice has launced a Kickstarter for Camp Weedonwantcha, and some of the higher tiers have a new (?) Pin!!!! Also a way of getting an awesome comic
I highly doubt it will be the new DLC -- Bard Rock was a kickstarter pin too, but Scott Kurtz was also selling it at Prime and South. If you can't pony up right now, you will almost certainly be able to support Katie directly at some point just for the pin

The money does not get charged to you till the campaign ends. If or when it is successful the funds get taken out then not when you chose your pledge. I have spent too much money on the Crackstarter

So we're starting to panic a little bit here about one of our Saturday badges. We had to buy one off of eBay, and that person hasn't gotten it yet. The threads always say you can email PA in the last week and they will fix up shipping problems (although it is never specified how they do so) -- but is there any history of them working to fix up situations like this? IE can this seller request that the badge be at will-call for us?
If we're forced to buy from a street scalper outside (this would suck ass, but I don't know what else we would do if this mess can't get sorted out in the next day or so) is there anything in particular we have to be careful of?

Always be wary of ebay and other reselling arenas. You are better off doing something face to face at the venue. If ebayers take your money and run it's going to be a bigger hassle than being told "no" outside BCEC. And there are always people with extra sets.

Well for us, the idea of rolling into Boston with no badge in hand is very frightening -- and the idea of being told "no" at the doorway sounds like a nightmare scenario. You can always get your money back on eBay, but obviously sitting around in Boston with the money and no ticket isn't exactly a victory condition.
How do you find these people that always have the extra sets? I'm aware there is some kind of ticket exchange thing on Reddit, but the few times I've looked at it it always seems like there are 10 WTBs for every WTS (probably because they restrict the price there).

You can always get your money back on eBay, but obviously sitting around in Boston with the money and no ticket isn't exactly a victory condition.
