Infamous Second Son is out next month too but I highly doubt I need to rave about that in this thread
Infamous: Second Son and The Order: 1886 are why I will have a PS4 sooner rather than later. I need to play all of Infamous 2, first though. And polish off AC4 on 360 and a bunch of PS3 games. What I'm saying is I'm a bad person who keeps replaying already-beaten games instead of starting and/or finishing others.
Yeah I'm slowly inching my way through infamous 2 but that second Island
Brutal hard. Wanna finish it before SS hits. I actually haven't played the PS4 in just over 3 weeks now. Nor having a second monitor means it's either steam chat or ps4...... and I just can't part with you guys
has nothing to do with the fact that I said I would stream myself playing Outlast with the camera.
Every so often I remember a great game is coming out with the year. I just had one of those moments, only instead of thinking of just one game, I thought of numerous awesome sounding stuff.
Mad Max is at the top of the list and honestly should be on everyones. Avalanche studios have never failed me, from the Just Cause series which set the bar for best comeback sequel ever (I still liked the first but many hated it) and more importantly, seeing the standard when it came to how good an open world game should be. Accessible, gorgeous and completely open in how it's played, Avalanche are the perfect studio to be handling the Road Warrior license. Foaming at the mouth here.
Stainless steel announced in 2012 their plans to reinvigorate the Carmegeddon franchise. They successfully funded the project through Kickstarter (I bought in there and then) and they've been hammering away ever since. Even if they only manage to graphically overhaul the first game, I'll be pleased. The mad, chaotic fun to be had there has me giddy and glad I paid for it already.

I've only mentioned the two PC games I'm most interested in, there are still loads of others like Star Citizen, Sniper Elite 3, Titanfall and Lord knows how many more I can't remember in my sleep addled state. It's gonna be a good year.

This was me last night! We have the new Shadowrun DLC coming out today and TSoT finally showing itself as a thing that will actually happen (doubted this for awhile).
But most importantly, and I am super excited about this, at the end of March we have Age of Wonders 3 coming out! I have waited so long for an AoW sequel and I have been avoiding info on the sequel since I heard about it so I wouldn't start counting the days. Now, suddenly, it is right around the corner! Usually it would be a painfully long month waiting on something this good, but the way games have been releasing, its more a question of how much can I get done before I have to shelf my current play-through to consume the goodness that will be my Theocratic goblin empire!

Hi everyone!
I'd like to be a part of this group, it sounds fun. I've been on Steam for years but I haven' been very active because my computer was garbage. I just built a new PC and have been playing ALL OF THE GAMES!
I can't link my Steam profile right now because I'm at work but my name on there is the same as here. Look forward to playing with you guys soon!

I added the Baldur's Gate games to my wishlist. I forgot they were released.
I haven't played them in years, but when I was younger I put several hundred hours into those games collectively. So now, step two is either hope they go on sale soon or that I get some money to spend on one of them soon.
Which is painful because I made the same deal. Regarding steam games. Not console games though. Yay for loopholes!
Didn't you just buy into Hawken last night? :P
Pfff everyone knows Hawken is free to play with micro transactions for extra mech customisations and such. You just have to pay that transaction up front. Besides @shogun gifted it to me! So nyuh!

"Welcome everyone! You may not recognize me, but I bet you've heard my name. I'm @21stCentury of 21stCentury Wear. It's been a big year for our company. We've got a great new headquarters store here in the Colosseum. We've expanded to include exclusive fashionable weapons designed after those of your favorite gladiators. And now we're pleased to announce our new line of trading cards and badges. You can purchase packs of cards from any of our stores. They feature art from all of your favorite games. If you complete a set, turn them in to the store for special pin you can wear to show off your accomplishment! And here only at the Colosseum you can get cards and badges based on our gladiators. But we don't want you to think we've forgotten our roots. Today we're please to announce the latest additions to our heavy armor collections. Available for sale starting now and made available to today's gladiators. Thank you!"
The four bloodied poles still standing in the arena floor have been covered in a variety of large shields and plate armors. Each shield and suit of armor is striking in design. Some sleek in simple but classic styles, others are vibrantly colored with intricate decoration.

I really enjoyed the first BG:EE, since, for whatever reason, I was never able to completely finish the game back in the day (though I beat the hell out of BG 2). It was gratifying to final cross that off my list.
That said, and I haven't tried it yet so check it out at your own discretion, there is apparently a total BG1 conversion using the NWN 2 engine. So, if you picked up NWN 2 while the getting was good (i.e. when it was available for buying), that may be worth a look to hold you over.
Heenato flicks a sai from each hand into the air and catches each with the opposite hand. As Brutal J approaches he draws one blade across his throat as a threat. Underestimating how close the blade was; he accidentally draws a little blood. He's wearing a form fitting suit of heavy armor. Interlocking plates with flexible leather around the joints. The armor has a swirling mother of pearl texture to it that is quite beautiful. Brutal J clanged his fist shaped steel gauntlets together in rapid succession. The giant bald man flexed his muscles and posed for the audience's appreciation. He wore no armor. A heavy pair of boots and a pair of belted on trousers was it. The signal was given and the battle began.

Heenato felt a surge of confidence. It was a bit heavy, but the armor moved much smoother than he would have imagined. He felt even better after seeing his opponent. He may be a large fighter, but it seemed unlikely he'd have to worry much about getting punched in this. Brutal J bobbed and weaved. He dodged some of the sai stabs and blocked others with his gauntlets using them as shields. A metal bong reverberated through the Colosseum as Brutal J landed a solid hit to Heenato's chest. Flinching a moment, Heenato then realized he was, as expected, perfectly fine.
Brutal J arched an eyebrow and and flexed his pecs as he considered the situation.

I'm surprised they've put up Space Asshole for the daily since it still has GFWL. I know they said they're working to patch it out but still.

I'm actually not familiar with Infamous. It's what happens when you fall an entire console cycle behind, I suppose.
I'm currently concurrently playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate (whoever really felt like they needed Lords of Shadow still in there needs to get kicked in the junk in my opinion) and trying to finish the last little bit of Overlord, which is only annoying because with the best forge, I really feel that forging the best most magical stuff before I go forward is a sound idea, but damn if the Dungeon isn't the best place to do it and yet it takes me forever to fight things and not loose almost all my minions in there.

Brutal J landed another round of clanging body blows to no effect. The armor had not even dented yet. Incredible! He would find a way to crush this man like any other. The turtle's attacks were pitiful, he easily pushed his clumsy attacks aside. Brutal would show them armor is not everything. The true power was muscle. Brutal J pounded on his gut and invited his foe to hit him there. Heenato shrugged and gave a strong thrust with his sai. Brutal J gritted his teeth and a vein in his forehead pulsed as he clenched with all his might. The sai tip could not penetrate and left merely a scratch. Brutal J exhaled and laughed heartily.

Heenato was frustrated. Every attack he tried was denied, and with little effort it seemed. That class at the local martial arts studio was useless. He should ask for his money back. The blows against his armor were starting to give him a headache.

Risen has had an effect on me. I am normally a disgusting dogooder in my RPGs, white knighting everyone and respecting the sanctity of everyone's property.
Risen locked me into the Harbour Town for seven hours and counting of playtime with all the 'good' quests costing 500 gold to buy stolen property off people before returning it and getting 200 gold reward. Gold is doubly precious so far because you use it not only for the normal weapons and armor and potions and such but also for all stat and skill upgrades.
So I broke down and bought two levels of pickpocket and two levels of lockpicking and I have robbed every soul in town blind at this point and looted everything not nailed down.
Also I'm 10 hours in and I can't cast a single spell yet. Between this and Kings Bounty WotN I seem to be picking games that gate magic abilities really really far into the game. I just want to make the world burn, is that so wrong?
Brutal J finished another volley of blows and stopped to catch his breath. He scanned the stadium and started to walk off to the other side of the arena. Heenato shouted asking where he thought he was going. Heenato tried to attack him from behind, but the boxer still managed to turn and bat his blade aside before continuing to the edge of the arena floor. Heenato growled in frustration and decided to just wait. It was better than having to deal with the constant ring of the metal armor. Brutal J called out to a passing vendor. The vendor dropped a bottle down for him. It was a good idea to include this bottle holder in the gloves. Otherwise how would he have held it! He wrenched the cap off with his teeth and took a long refreshing gulp of soda. It was four hours since the start of the fight.
