When was the last time Dust: An Elysian Tale was on sale?
Are you including its current offering in the Humble Indie Bundle? If not, I seem to remember it being on sale during the Holiday sale though I don't remember if it was ever a daily (it was at least a flash or community pick).

Talk about obscure old original Xbox games that I forgot about.
Holy shit I forgot about that game, I remember watching my friend play through it
I remember it being touted as some revolutionary RPG when it was coming out
Not sure if it was touted as being revolutionary so much as it was heavily focused on since the old XBox was starved for RPGs back then. Don't recall it really making much of a splash once it hit.

I just moved my Steam stuff over to a shiny new second hard drive, so of course today is the day Steam Guard decides not to play nice anymore.
Or maybe its gmail? Cause I just got a pile of Steam Guard emails that are marked as over an hour old. I don't really care who's end the problem is cause its keeping me out of my account and I don't like it.
Started playing Dust last night, and dear lord it is a beautiful game. Pretty fun to boot.
A fun fact about this game. It was designed and developed by one guy, outside of the voice acting and soundtrack. I think some of the story was worked on by others too.
But he did all the art, design and programming himself, or so I read.
I had a wonderful birthday, and a major part of which was the community and friends i've made from this and similar threads. Thank you so much guys. Some people failed to follow directions and still gifted me games, but I truly appreciate the gifts anyways.
@Khildith got me Divinity: Original Sin. Thanks, this rounds out the whole divinity collection. I can't wait to dive into the whole thing! If it sucks, I'm going to squarely blame Basil. @Sumanai thought it would be amusing to get me Deadly 30. I'm so goddamn old. @Spoit hit me with the Commandos Collection! Woo, these look super interesting. I've heard people say its pretty good, if old, so I can't wait to get into it. @Wooden Spoon Hit me with Divinity 2: Director's Cut and blamed it on his Wife who apparently shares a birthday with me! (I'm just saying that if you gift him stuff, you can blame it on his wife) @Corkeh hit me with Plain Sight. Super goddamn colorful and looks very interesting! I can't wait to get a multi-game going for it. @Pixelated Pixie got me with State of Decay, citing my love of Zombies and her love of the game as the two main factors I should be playing it. I pushed this one up to the top of my must play list as I DO love zombies. @Shdwcaster hit me with The 39 Steps! It looks like a super interesting game, combining literature by John Buchan's book and adapting it to video game styles. It looks like it can be super awesome to experience @Berylline got me Escape Goat, which is a super fun Puzzle game where you are a Goat in jail charged with Witchcraft and make friends with a Rat with a magic Hat. The puzzles are engaging, and the goats are totes awesome. @Talus9952 Hit me with Assassins Creed 3! The only AC game I didn't have! My collection is complete! I will totally stalk all the woodland creatures (Don't tell Berylline) Thanks Talus!
And I especially want to thank all the people who messaged me wishing me Happy Birthday. It makes my super old man heart feel good to see how many people took time out of their day to send me a message. I you all. Thanks so much to everyone! Even if you took the time to read my posts and didn't message me, you're still awesome.

A series of four eight foot tall poles were spaced across the normally empty arena floor. Each pole had a person tightly bound to it a few feet off the ground. All of them bruised and gagged, they had been left here in the sun for some time before the crowds filled the stands. The Emperor was in attendance, and as the match drew near, he addressed the Colosseum.
"Those you see before you are are just some of those guilty of illegally acquiring or distributing games. @HyphyKezzy, @Nackmatholn, @Arithon32, and @emutheelf.They have done so in direct defiance of the Empire, and though it pains me to do so, I sentence them to death. They will serve as a warning for those who take my mercy for granted. Each of you was given a sack of rocks as you arrived. While we enjoy today's gladiator battle, you will carry out this execution." The Emperor took his seat as the Colosseum buzzed with excitement. A number of large rocks flew early followed by muffled cries of pain from the prisoners.
Tuxkamen ducked to avoid an errant throw as he entered the arena. The short fighter carried a large stone-headed cudgel in one hand. Dried blood speckled the pock-marked weapon. He wore a tight-fitting bronze cap along with some pieces of light leather armor. Roycesraphim was covered in an old dented suit of armor. The helm had taken on a reddish-orange hue from a layer of rust. A crowd thrown rock rebounded off the armor covering his leg, and the struck piece of metal fell off leaving an open hole. He carried a crooked dented metal shield and a surprisingly pristine silver long sword. The two fighters acknowledged each of with a nod as the signal was given to begin.

In retrospect we probably handed out too many rocks to the crowd. The whole thing was a mess figuratively and literally. Two of the four prisoners probably died quickly enough. But too many people were throwing at the gladiators instead, prolonging the other victims' deaths. Right at the start, Roycesraphim took a heavy blow to the head from one of the hurled stones. The helm may have helped protect him some. Tuxkamen dodged most of the rocks heading his way, which made people just try to hit him even more. He was able to shrug off those that hit. But in all the chaos he was not prepared for Roycesraphim's charge. Eager to finish things and get out of this hail of rocks; Roycesraphim rushed his opponent. Tuxkamen tried to parry the silver sword, but a flying stone knocked his cudgel aside. The thrust pierced the leather armor and gouged a deep wound in his upper thigh.

Nope. I never lost a character in the main campaign. Playing Breakdown now, haven't lost one, about to board the RV and start level 2.
I did suicide a fresh Breakdown character to a horde but that doesn't count (it was done partly to get the "Torn Apart" achievement and partly because the RNG gods chose a spectacularly bad skill set).

Fat men have special kills, it was surprising.....I was all torn up about it. Especially since it was my soldier he killed.
The stones rained down on tuxkamen, the repeated strikes beginning to bloody and bruise him all over. The crowd was taking advantage of his limited mobility. Revenge for dodging earlier throws. Another contingent of the crowd however was angry with Roycesraphim for ruining the challenge and interrupting. The constant pelting of stones was rattling more and more pieces of his armor off. He had hoped to press his advantage but withdrew behind one of the posts to avoid the rocks. Let them finish off his opponent. Unfortunately this only brought him into range of the opposite side of the Colosseum.
Unnoticed by most, General Taramoor had arrived in the imperial seating area. His face was red with anger as he shouted at the Emperor. The Emperor stood and yelled back.

As the rocks continued to pelt tuxkamen, he felt on the verge of blacking out. The wound in his leg had been bleeding severely and this constant barrage was taking its toll. He forced himself forward after his foe. It was the only way out of this. The coward was ducking behind one of the poles of the executed, and trying to deflect stones with his shield. His armor had mostly fallen apart, beneath the dented plates he appeared to be wearing just a dirty pair of boxer shorts. As Roycesraphim turned to check on the state of his adversary the cudgel slammed into his chest. Thankfully he still had a bit of armor left on the front instead of taking the hit to his open back. But it was still a heavy hit, and the wind was knocked out of him. As the last of his armor apart from his helm collapsed to the ground; he wished he'd worn pants. The two fighters stood ready for a final attack as stones bounced off the body above and landed all around them.
Above, Taramoor had thrust a sealed letter at the Emperor. With a sneer Iolo opened the letter and began to read. While the shouting had ceased, those watching this drama began to grow concerned. The Emperor's hands trembled and his eye began to twitch. The guards watched nervously.
