There were a lot of kids in my childhood neighborhood. 20 of us boys at the peak with a core of 10 who lasted from grades 4 - 11. Many moved away, including me, and we all grew apart during or shortly after highs school. Last night I dreamed I was back in the old block with everyone. We were all older, some had kids, but we were all living in our old houses. I was on a mission to borrow a bike. Once I finally found one we gathered and prepared to leave, shaking hands, saying goodbyes. We joined our bikes together and took off soaring through the air, cracking old jokes and talking shit about sports teams. Then we disconnected our bikes and flew off in different directions.
Now I'm awake and all melancholy.

I'd go into things but apparantly my realtor (who was supposed to be impartial) turns out to be a two-faced weasel who only cares about his money and has told the sellers to talk to a lawyer since I don't want their house. So probably going into details wouldn't be wise on my part.

Ugh, sounds awful.
Not sure what use we'd be except venting as we probably don't know anything about your province's property/real estate selling rules.

At this point I haven't signed a single financial document, nor has my wife or my parents, let alone seen one. All we had signed was our offer sheet to the seller and the ammendment to it when we needed an extra week. Needless to say he was trying to bully/scare us saying we're obligated to buy the house when as far as we're concerned the whole thing is null and void since we haven't exchanged any documentation at all.

Look up online for a FAQ of the home buying process, from the provincial Law Society, Real Estate Society, ministry of housing or a law firm that specialises in property law. That should tell you in plains English about the status of each step and your obligations. I assume something like that exists as it does for NZ and England.

if you havent signed anything unless Canada has an extremely liberal interpritation of a "verbal contract" they can get fucked

Property law is often more complicated than you'd think. I could answer your question so far as NZ, England or Wales is concerned but wouldn't be sure for Scotland, NI, any Australian state or Canadian promise. Things will be similar but regional variation can be substantial.
I could have answered your question as far as Norway is concerned but yeah that's useful
(in which if you've made a bid, it is binding)
so, check the laws on the subject, would be strongly advisable

I was just struck with curiosity over the word Megiddo - it is, in my mind, associated with a powerful flame attack in a GBA game Golden Sun. Google doesn't give me anything other than it being a place in Israel. In the context of Megiddo = fire magic, there seems to be no precedent any earlier than Final Fantasy. And now there's a buncha unrelated RPGs that all use the word in that same context. That's neat.

it's not just a place in israel
The word "Armageddon" appears only once in the Greek New Testament, in Revelation 16:16. The word may come from Hebrew har məgiddô (הר מגידו), meaning "Mountain of Megiddo".
said "mountain" not actually being a mountain, Tel Megiddo being a tell, which is a hill caused by long-term human settlement - building and rebuilding on top of previous crumbled buildings for so long that you create a hill.

Instead of making the game standalone he's all like "Yeah that DayZ game was pretty cool, but this DayZ is going to be different, so let's make people micromanage diseases!"
