Which one of these will give me completion quickly? Ie I need lots of deeps, not "it's a good support rifle!" Something that will give me points. I don't want to go through another Falcon incident.
Yeah definitely Typhoon. Although if you have any other challenges left to do, check for overlap with the assault rifle challenge. I remember resorting to some really shitty weapons in order to progress in two challenges at once. I think it was worth it...
Typhoon will get you points fastest on boss units.
Revenant will get you points fastest on scrubs.
Saber will get you points fastest if you really just want to snipe people.
Human or Turian Soldier will be able to get the challenge requirements with the quickness.

The Saber is a weaker Black Widow masquerading as an AR.
The multiple-shots-per-kill thing always made it harder to deal with for me if I didn't have a suitable stagger.

Typhon seems a good choice, thank you for the advice. I'm trying to get machine mastery as well, so I put in on the Quarian Marksman.
Just got in a match with a couple of chatty Russians, one male one female. They laughed a lot and seemed to be having a good time, so I thought it was going to be fun. Dude was on a jugg, lady was on a Volus adept. So good support classes, lots of shields, aggro holding, and rezzes, right? Wrong! Multiple times I was dead right at their feet and they wouldn't rez me. For the hack four nodes objective, the volus spent at least a little time giving shields when I was getting the first couple, then she got the third one for some reason, which turned out to be fine since there was no enemies around that one. Then on the fourth I was completely alone and got ganked by a couple of ravagers. After a couple of rounds without me (and the fourth guy just leaving the match), they finally decided to start rezzing me if I was, ya know, right under their feet. Well at least the volus did, the jugg didn't rez anyone.
Having just played around with mine, I have to say... Batarian Soldiers are capable of basically being walking Michael Bay movies.
You can make your ballistic blades explode.
Inferno grenade explodes.
After inferno grenade lights everything on fire, something else can cause all those folks who are burning to explode.
When you falcon punch someone, their head explodes.
And just for kicks, I even equip my Kishock Harpoon Gun with explosive rounds so the harpoon explodes.
It's not too often I score as many points as the rest of the team combined, but damn it always feels good.
its true that explosive rounds are still a massive disappointment in dps terms but i love slapping them on the kishock. like 'here, im going to chuck this metre of rebar at your face at 100kph, catch!'
.
.
.
'also it explodes, lol what larks'
I just like the idea that I have explosive-tipped harpoons. It increases my feeling of being a whaler.
the typhoon is a ridiculous deathmachine on the destroyer; you can finish it quite quickly just by loading up a reapers gold game and killing all the brutes.
you can do the same with the revenant, but the typhoon is pretty much a straight upgrade unless you only have it at level 2 or something
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

pubs don't realize the inherent value of rezzing people
i make it a priority because every person that's down is 25% more aggro on me

I found out the other day, that even if I'm holding aggro on an Atlas on my juggernaut, if I'm not as close to it as I can possibly be, some moron pub will manage to get between us an get insta'd.
Like, dude. There's three whole other sides of the atlas in a wide open area. You can totally shoot him from there.

the only time i won't rez a pub is if I know there's only a couple of mooks left - it's quicker to shoot them than to go all the way over there and rez the person and then have to shoot the mooks anyway
of course if it's PA I rez whenever I can do so safely.

I have a bad habit or trying to rez when it isn't safe to do so.

That more than anything else is what I struggled the most with MP. Feel bad when someone bleeds out so I'd over-prioritize reviving them at times when I should have instead cleared the area first. Or in some cases just let them use a medigel. I've gotten better over time but there are still cases where I find myself reverting to old habits.

When and how to rez is a skill you get better at with time. Everyone's bad at it at first.
Which will be least painful to complete? I have 5 left to get which I guess means I'll end up having to do most of them anyway. I don't really like the "hold down the button" types of guns so I didn't much care for Venom, and it didn't seem to do major damage either (I only have Venom 1).

Geth Plasma Shotugn and Graal will both be relatively easy and fun to complete if you play while hosting. Put the GPS on a Geth Infiltrator specced for max weapon damage everywhere and you can smack erry bitch up

GPS is a solid weapon, though it benefits from "hold down the button" mechanics a little, though it's not necessary.
N7 Crusader is basically a sniper. If you can make it work, it's fantastic, though it's not for everyone. It's what I was using on our Reaper Reactor match, and I had forgotten how good it can be in the right circumstances.
Can't really say too much about the rest, haven't used them too much, apart from to say that the scimitar is just so weak you'd be best using
anything
else instead.
Edit:Not quite how I intended that post to go, but still.

I love the Raider. Just remember: even with a choke, you need to be basically on top of the target to make it worth while.
Scimitar is crap above Silver. The Eviscerator can also be lowered to 200% recharge speed very early, and both are uncommon. Beyond giggles, there should never, ever be a reason to use the Scimitar because the Eviscerator does everything it can do, but better.
Best I can say for it is that its high ammo capacity is good for setting up fire explosions/ammo procs.

In order:
Depending on what level you have it, the Wraith is one of the best guns in the game. It works on most any caster class since it gets so light at high levels.
The Raider is one of my favorite pure damage weapons. Put it on a class you're most comfortable working in close ranges with. If I recall correctly you enjoy the Havoc. It would pair nicely with that.
GPS is really solid. Plus it has homing projectiles.
I'm a big fan of both the Venom and the Crusader but they both have a learning curve. But I'd still recommend them if your remaining choices are the Graal, Disciple and Scimitar.

If I was doing that from your list, I'd do the GPS, the Graal, the Wraith, Crusader, and then probably the Raider.
there were classes that you could get away with using any old lightweight POS on
but that never made the guns any good

the Carnifex was always solid if you got it to high levels. The Talon is nice.

I'd recommend against the Disciple if your only concern is completing the challenge, simply because it doesn't do jack for damage.
It's usefulness is in its high rate of stumblage, not in its pure killing power.
And the Carnifex is still pretty awesome. Only reason I stopped using one regularly is because I got silly lucky and my Paladin surpassed it in levels.

it's usually good to look for soft cover in the area when trying to rez - behind a doorway, etc.
like, it does nobody any good if you get yourself killed rezzing me, and then I stand up into half a spawn's worth of mobs
