Also it is 2014 and I just finished Braid for the first time and HA, that twist at the end is fucking clever and made me smile a lot, even though it's probably the most pretentious thing I've ever played.
I take it you haven't gotten the True Ending, because boy howdy.
Well I got the achievement for finishing the game, got all the puzzle pieces and everything. The smile was at how clever it was, not a happy feeling because yeah it was a bit disturbing.
And then all that text about an atom bomb and holy fuck that was unnecessary. Should've ended right after the long rewind. But, well, Jonathan Blow.
Yeah, you didn't get the True Ending.
Which...is honestly perfectly fine. I feel like the True Ending is kind of a dumb red herring?
Though I might just be far too stupid to understand Blow's genius-level writing.
Oh hey there are stars to collect.
Oh hey the game doesn't tell you that at any point.
Oh hey you can't collect them if you've finished the game.

Oh hey fuck that.
And to get one of the stars you have to wait for several hours.
not too thrilled about the gameplay shown being combat
faith's fighting style shouldn't be completely breaking her momentum to do a sick takedown, it should be a hook and run or a kick off a wallrun that still keeps her moving forward
Speaking of Mirror's Edge I'm not sure what to do. I'm in an early chapter and just got out of the sewers, but now there are a whole lot of guys trying to kill me and I can't find the way out.

I played a shitload of Mirror's Edge
and I 100% agree with this opinion
given how the first game had only ONE dude that needed to be taken down (a couple of others require some difficult precision running to avoid)
hoping they focus on perfecting the pacifist route through the game, and are not getting rid of it

even if you chose to take down dudes in the first game, you could just as easily run at them, disarm, and toss away their weapon as you were running away from them
combat was pretty much the least important part of the game
EDIT: just watched that trailer and yeah, standing in a lobby getting ready to throw down with three stormtroopers is not what I want from Mirror's Edge

Just a recipe for constant hilarious accidental team killing.
I wonder if there is some way I can get Akira killed.
Anyone who says "lol" out loud deserves no better...
(Just starting up don't take it personally babe, it just ain't your story. Not sure if I'll stick with it due to the subject matter but we will see.)

It was only recently that I realized I've never actually had fun playing pinball
Which is some kind of weird revelation
How is this still here
why is anything here
Steam
I don't really know what that was but I liked it
Crazy Taxi on iOS is free for a couple days and it's actually a really great port?
It's virtual buttons but it works surprisingly well

So I watched the Mirror's Edge 2 trailer again on a whim and realized they totally show gameplay in it
And it looks genuine
It looks really really nice, but also like something DICE is totally capable of producing

The fluidity to the combat probably isn't there yet so they just show a fancy takedown animation that they DO have instead
Or at least that's the bogus rumor going around the internet right now.
The main source is a fake TMZ website that in the last 3 days has also speculated that Betty White and Chumlee from Pawn Stars are dead
