Stupid Question regarding the mobile app. I have last year's still on my iphone. Is there a new version available/coming avail, or should I just expect an update soon?
The app has been getting updates periodically, but within the app you have to download the East 2014 schedule.
Where do I go within the app. Because according to it, I'm up to date on updates, despite it showing 2013 info

Are you talking about the android/iOS PAX East 2013 app?
Get the guidebook app, and search/download PAX East 2014.
Dedicated apps for a 3 day event are dumb to me.
EDIT: And they take forever to get updated.

I have been reading around and seeing a number of large exhibitors deciding to not attend Pax East such as Nintendo and Sega. Although I do enjoy the indie showcase and seeing what is new, I am concerned about which large exhibitors do intend to come.

I know that the guidebook app just updated, but I see the schedule is still messed up on Sunday for some of the panels. Is there a way to update that myself or do I just wait for the next app update?
What? No <band name here>? Ugh, the only reason I go to <event which hosts musical performers> is for <band name here>. It's clear that you guys have strayed from your roots, and I don't think I'll ever be going again.

a guidebook app update doesn't actually affect the guide inside the app. That updates separately. I think you can force the guide to check for an update, but it's possible that the people who maintain the guide simply haven't synced up with the official schedule changes yet.
Not sure if it's been done already, but here's a version in pretty columns. Let me know ASAP if you find any inaccuracies, I don't want people to visit the wrong thing at the wrong time because I messed up.

Nintendo and Sony have nothing to show, so its a waste of money for them, don't sweat it, even in a good year neither of those is the big draw. They are fodder, you will not be disappointed or probably even miss their abscence

I agree. I am already happy to see on the guidebook that Square Enix, Bethseda, Ubisoft, Blizzard, and my personal fave, Young Horses (Octodad) are coming. This is my first time coming and I am already overwhelmed by the massive lineup.

I can't find anything on this so I figured I would ask it here.... two things I was a little sad to see: No Naughty Dog (I'm dressing as Lara Croft one day and wanted to make sure I stopped by the booth that day) and no Atlus. Atlus makes most of my favorite games so I'm pretty disappointed. I know that Conception II is coming out on April 15 and they constantly have things come out so I'm surprised/disappointed. Is this normal that they are not attending PAX?
For those more interested in the tabletop RPG side of things, I'm going to be hosting 'The Art of the Table: GMing Beyond the Basics' this Friday evening during PAX East. I wanted to post on here and see if any of the Pathfinder GMs might be up for joining in and tossing out their thoughts, theories, or questions? I'm hoping for a mix of both newer GMs and old veterans, but everyone (including players who have yet to run a game but might be interested to) is welcome!
Anyone know why Ken Levine's "It's the Story, Stupid" panel isn't happening? Was supposed to be Friday night
I too would like to know--I was really looking forward to that Panel. Also, the Rev3 Panel disappeared. Both of these were pretty high on my list of things I wanted to see. Bummer. Next year, I might just wait until the week before to look at the list. For me, I kinda wish I didn't know that these two awesome-sounding panels had been planned and are now cancelled.
The Rev3 panel was probably canceled since Adam Sessler announced a few days ago that he's leaving Rev3 I was excited for it too. And while I'm speculating, I'm assuming Ken Levine decided not to do the panel due to potential backlash from his move with Irrational in February. That's just my speculations but who knows.
