You'd need to roll a lot of 6's to not lose your cool. Anyway, I'm pretty sure being shot is better than getting plastered drinking Second Best.

I know why I got into Mordhiem harder then 40K at first.
Combination of cost (you're going to, at MOST have 20 models), effort (fewer models means more time to customize them and I'm a big fan of WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)), and the RPG aspect (with experience gains, boosts, losses, and the monthly supplemental material in the form of tavern gossip).
I can only assume Necromunda is similar but with 40K flavoring.
EDIT: Anyway, local gaming/comic store has these and I'm wondering how good they would be for Necromunda/Mordhiem/40K-RPG.
Depends on what you're going for, looks like that's more of a closed network of hallways instead of the standard necromunda open city block or whatever.
It's not cheap but the cities of death terrain is great for Necromunda. I also found some polystyrene packaging was neat and created a Mos Eisley look with some trimming and tidying up.

Yeah, that one I linked was just the first hit, but my local store has Cities and Sewers of Death and would look to be perfect for a DH game.
I'd love to play / GM a game of Only War, but that's because if I GM'd I'd be able to make an obnoxious colonel who gave orders to the platoon, and if I played I could act like I was an obnoxious colonel, but wasn't really
it's basically the perfect game

I've never played the tabletop but if I decided to rape my wallet I would make an army of Angry Marines just to mess with guys who take this game way to seriously. That and I like their color scheme.
"In the end, we are very satisfied with the place the Imperial Knights have taken in Warhammer 40,000," says Jervis. "This is because no one army can ever deal with all-comers. The holy grail of many hobbyists is to fashion a single, all-conquering army that can win in any eventuality, but in truth there is probably no such thing. It doesn't make the search any less fun, but there are just too many variables, and the Imperial Knight adds another wrinkle to it. What's good at killing a Baneblade is not necessarily much good at dealing with an Imperial Knight, and it almost certainly won't help against a Tyranid Hive Crone. All this encourages people to experiment with their tactics and their collections, and I think this is one of the things adding the Imperial Knight has done. As a games developer, the most important thing I have learned to be most wary of is cutting down options," Jervis concludes. "It's our duty to provide more choices and opportunities for people to have fun with their friends. I think the tactical challenge the Imperial Knight offers are going to do that."

Come to think of it I much preferred GW's Specialist games than 40k/warhammer.
Gorkamorka, Blood Bowl,Necromunda, Epic, Warhammer Quest and Space Hulk. All really good and fun games

I'd really like an FPS about a hive gang member that has to fight against arbites in the underhive and lower segments, only to have to join forces with them and travel to the upper hive and the spires when an uprising of chaos cultists and corrupt nobles threatens their world

imagine
halfway through the game the enemy faction summons a single chaos space marine through a warp portal
every level afterwards you see him running around with the antagonists; bullets bounce of him, every weapon is ineffective, he laughs as he tears down enemies
in the final stage you have to figure out a way to taken him on alone

He'd basically be like the SA-X from metroid fusion, with all encounters with him being equally tense.

I've been reading the Soul Drinkers omnibus editions, and I gotta say that, every time a mortal goes up against a Space Marine, I think to myself, "worth way more than 14 points per figure."
That and I'm wondering why I can't find a good picture of Sarpedon, post-mutation.

Yeah it's not a particularly good looking thing. Hopefully it's just the picture angle/paintjob, that can sometimes make models look worse than they really are.
It's only like AV11/10/10 too with a 10 model capacity so I'm not sure why you'd want it over a Chimera unless the guns are particularly good.

Oh hey an imperial guard model with super bad armor! We don't have any of those!

Emperor willing, I'd buy that for an Imperial credit.

Sadly it's outdated by a few editions.
But I love the Angry Pattern Whirlwind.
And I'd totally be down for a DH/DW/OW pbp game.
There are better pics floating around now, they've got posh looking carapace armour and fancy hats and this kinda silly truck thing to ride around in.
that doesn't bode well...
