I think the core vault is way too easy to lock down. Pub games have always dragged because no one tries to steal the cores. If someone manages to, all it takes is a guy at the vent exit to take him out. If it were just as easy to get out as it is to get in then it might be worthwhile to try and steal them.

Yeah I'm with xzzy on this one. There is an interesting core there, but to many classes have a hard time contributing and that map is still way to chokepoint filled.
I was pretty hopeful for the map at first, but since they've moved on to detailing it I don't see them making too many more changes at this point, and the map is still a boring slog.

I do think the game mode itself might still be salvageable though.
RD is a neat concept. Asteroid doesn't feel like the best map to convey that, though. I'm interested in seeing what the community does with it after it fully developed.

Then again I thought the same thing about SD...
I wonder why Valve even bothers making new maps when almost nobody likes them.

Ikr, they should just buy some promising community created maps... 5cp...
Glass-related...
But seriously, it would be nice if they picked some up sometime. It's been way too long. Their standards for maps are so much higher than anything else community made they bring into the game, it's ridiculous. That said, I've been getting some hints that the map workshop might be coming very soon.
I meant I was hoping it was still great at the time of the comic, because when you think about it, there hasn't been a happy end for anyone in the TF universe yet, and that's kind of depressing
I'll get a killstreak sometime, but for now I am fine with just stranges.
And with Sniper I don't usually get more then 5 kills in a life before some Spy/Scout/PHLOG PYRO ASSHOLE kills me while scoped, even with my years of paranoia of such foes making me more aware of spy cloak sounds and pyro flames and the like.
The two best types of kills I get as heavy are 1) Derpy spies crossing my bullet streams, of course, and 2) somehow managing to snipe the snipers.
The second is rarer than the first, and the first lets you know if the hapless fool was dead ringering or not by how quickly they die. You may or may not be surprised how many are not.

That's been the running joke ever since Meet the Spy, yeah
Valve, you've scorned me in the past. But I still love you.
Until it sank into the sea anyway

Why is he the only one wearing blue?
Oh dear...
I'm so proud of him.
We should make a HonC steam curator list.
And then fill it with just the dumbest bullshit.
