Claymore is pretty good about endurance costs. I was using it effectively even with a flat 100 end.
In fact, while it is definitely useful to get to 20 end, I'm starting to wonder just how useful.
I survived just fine until level 110 with 10 end on my dragon rider greatshield using cov of champ character. With a really good shield and efficient stamina management (dropping the shield, choosing when to attack wisely) you don't really need it.
I've got 20 now and it is neat, but it's more of a qol thing. It doesn't seem all that important anymore. Not on this character anyway.
Vigor? Yeah I'm suffering with low vigor. By choice. Because I'm a nutter. "I'm using a greatshield, so I should have less health or i'll trivialise it"
I only just got to 20 vigor. It's really still not enough with cov of champs bosses.
I had a twenty minute fight with the looking glass knight on this character.
He summoned like four or five phantoms, sadly none players. I killed each npc phantom with carefully timed and spaced lightning bolts. Then I went back to carefully poking the LGK occasionally slipping in a lightning bolt when he did something really big for a tiny bit more damage than the halberd shield poke. I watched my stamina bar like it was my life bar. I was deathly afraid of doing any other attack and especially of poking twice. Both would result in nigh on instant death if I got unlucky.
I was sooooo careful and patient. It was really exhausting when it was over because both attributes are not my strong points. :P

The halberd and the bastard sword don't perform well for me in the 10-15 END range.

Claymore lets you get off a couple of swipes and still dodge. It's enough.
If you want to shield block as well...depends on your shield. Halberd works fine with a 70+ greatshield even with 10 end, you just have to be extremely patient. Anything less you would be asking for trouble.
On the other hand I did not kill the sentinels with melee on this character.
Greatshield in one hand lightning spears in the other.
I poked the CoC difficulty lost sinner to death with ten end, +7 lightning halberd and 73 stability greatshield. You just need to pick the right tools if you are running with lower end.

The Looking Glass Knight seems really lazy with summoning players around now. When I tried before it wouldn't take longer than a minute for me to get summoned into the fight. Now I can wait 10 minutes and nothing will happen, so I give up and do other stuff.
Also had a great invasion today. Used the cracked orb in the King's Passage, right before the boss fight. Get summoned and see the host approaching the boss fog. Every damn time this happened before the other player would enter and I'd get sent back to my world before I could do anything. Not this time. He had one summoned player and one summoned NPC phantom, but I didn't care, I knew that them hitting me wouldn't matter if I get to the host. He's halfway through the animation when I reach him but that didn't save him from an incredibly nasty, one-hit-kill backstab from my Mastadoon Greatsword+10.

I've never been invaded by a player at all on my covenant of champions character. It is on the verge of seriously annoying me. I've almost beaten the game. Although I skipped Freya. I will go back to her before I finish everything, I just want some stuff from later in the game first.

Doesn't the CoC disable online interactions? Or is that coop only?

Your primary source of awestones is supposed to be killing invaders.
They really screwed this one up. The rewards are really naff for the first two tiers, so they clearly thought "Oh people invade low level constantly so they'll get them really quickly"
As a result I don't give a damn anymore about the rewards on this character. I'm going to go into NG+ on my caestus character with some tokens of spite and the red string ring and just lurk in CoC, waiting for victims. I hear I wont have to wait very long.

I have about 180 Magic Defense on my armor. Equipping the Magic Quartz Ring+2 gives me another 100. That's...not 10%.

Why do you have 45 in adaptability? It caps hard at 38 (110 agility). You could grab greater magic weapon with that depending on your initial intelligence. Or just get more stam since every point after 20 gives you 1 anyway so you might as well.
Or put it into dex and enjoy some better dex utility weapons.

I actually dropped out of it briefly to buy boltstones a couple of times and I'm pretty sure that reset it. Because it says I only have 4 but I've killed more npc black phantoms than that. I should be close to ten. Looks like your score resets.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

What the flying fuck. So I'm trying to make something that looks a little bit like myself for this sorceror. Just a little bit. Specifically my nose.
I cannot make a nose that does not have a giant fucking horn growing out of it. What the hell option do I muddle with to make the ridges of male noses straight edged? Dead straight. None of this bulgy nose business. I can't seem to do it no matter what I mess with.

Jolly cooperation!
Got past the Dragonrider and met a certain NPC. The spoilers about this NPC are practically grossly incandescent, so I'd be careful clicking if you want to find this out for yourself.
Miracle lady. The highly suspicious "traitor" Licia.
She was kneeling smack bang in the middle of a bloodstain. Exactly in the center. She killed someone then knelt on their corpse.
When I exhausted her dialogue and rested at the bonfire she vanished...but the blood remained.
It was perfect.

I don't know all of them off the top of my head, I'll mark the ones I'm not sure on:
R1, first attack: A horizontal slash around your character. Covers a lot of ground and can even hit enemies a bit behind you
R1, second attack: A horizontal slash in the other direction
R2, first attack: A downward attack starting behind your character
R2, second attack: This one I'm not sure on, I think it's a heavy horizontal slash
Backstep, then attack: A quick horizontal slash
Running attack: Another, quicker horizontal slash that covers more ground, as in you move more forward during the move
You'll see a lot of "horizontal slashes" here, and that's what I like most about it. It's not quick, but you can offset that in PVP by using it's extreme reach to your advantage. What I do most is either hit other players directly after they roll away, or lure them into thinking I'm turtling, then attacking first when they come at me. The heavy attack doesn't seem particularely useful other than for the element of surprise, by using it out of nowhere when you've never used it before in the match.
The running attack is nasty and has helped me take down more than one coward who'd just try and run around a corner to chuck an estus. It's quick and does at least as much damage as a normal attack.
The two handed set is really almost identical, except you're two handing the sword. The heavy attacks are different though:
R2, first attack: Horizontal slash
R2, second attack: Upwards "launching" attack

It may be impossible to take the Irish out of the noses, but you'll be wearing a helmet for 99% of the game, anyway. I spent a lot of time (probably 30+ minutes) trying to get my first character to look perfect. And then never exposed an inch of my skin the outside world after the first hour or two of gameplay. Now I look exactly the same as everyone else in Alva Armor.

Think I'm done with Dark Souls 2 for now. After finishing New Game+ I have all the items I wanted and I'm completely satisfied with my build. Going through the game again would be kinda boring at this point.
And while the PVP is an absolute blast, I'm really bored with it now after fighting plenty of BoB matches over the past week and not even reaching rank 1.
This game is huuuuuuge
How did some of you folks manage to do this in under a week?
I don't think it is that big. It may seem bigger without traversal powers or vehicles, but most zones can be condensed into a couple paragraphs of detailed description. The bonfire fast travel helps make the game smaller.
I tried the Pilgrims of the Dark thing. It has not gone well at all. I will do my best. I am probably going to run completely out of human effigies and all sources of them before I manage to beat it all though. What with my restricted ruleset and all.
Really don't like that you can be permanently locked out like that.
I hear there's a way to farm stuff with ascetics and whatnot, but really, I'll run out of those eventually too.
We'll see how it goes.
There's an endgame farm run that produces infinite ascetics and souls vessels.

I'm at 65 hours and I'm still in castle drangleic. OTOH I've done a lot of pvp and dragon duels and exploring.
I need a more reliably way of testing spell casting speed to tell if the lion's mage set stacks with the casting speed ring. Are there any particularly really slow casting spells?
