Should I jump into adventure mode once I clear Normal with a new character? Or does it make more sense to just clear all the campaign difficulties up to Torment?
Just some general commentary on Loot 2.0, I am just getting into Act V now and have been fortunate enough to have about 10 Legendary drops so far, which is of course awesome. I have yet to see a set item drop, which I think is a little bizarre. So fucking fun though, and I'm completely hooked into D3 again.

The thing is if you really want a bunch of pools then run a bunch of quick bounties on normal. Always ended up with 3-4 when doing split farming on normal.

I should make reapers wraps on my demon hunter
combined with blood vengeance that's like unlimited cluster arrows
Barbarian with almost permanent Sprint - Momentum is super fun. Feels like playing with Diablo 2 run speed.

I love the new drop system, though I swear I echo the complaints others had in post 60 leveling. There just didn't seem to be any good upgrades until I hit 70 and then they rained like candy.
I still want a thunderfury again though, that proc is delicious.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I asked this earlier, but never got an answer I think: what can be blocked? Is it like dodge, ie not actually good? I've seen blocked text happening on those a3 furnace fire streams, but it doesn't seem to help against arcane beams.
Define "not actually good." It doesn't work against elemental effects, but if you have a decent amount (~50%+) it's pretty good against physical attacks. It stacks additively, not multiplicatively, and is much easier to get than Dodge.
And if you use Punish you get lots of bonuses when you block.
It's probably not useful for anyone besides Crusaders, but that's kind of a statement on shields in general.
Yeah, if it doesn't work against elemental stuff (though I'd almost swear I've seen it block some of those) it's kind of shitty by itself. I mean dodge is, and block is capped too. Well, stacking armor/resists helps with the cap but still.
Punish bonuses and and some of the other stuff (like heal on block, the cooldown reduction shield) might make block kind of useful for crusader, but still.. so much it doesn't work against. Crusaders definitely feel really squishy.
Just a question before I (possibly) do something idiotic: If I'm trying to re-roll on an item, and one of the spaces is empty, does it mean it will *add* a property, or is it some weird bug where it'll replace the Legendary's unique property or something?
You can't reroll a property that doesn't exist. You can only r
eroll an existing property on an item. You can only reroll one property per item.
I mean something like this:
(Obviously don't have the mats, so can't try, but I just wonder... )
I play my crusader more like a D&D cleric than a tank. Though I do have to laugh with the block heal on Mal I'll stand in his spin because it heals me more than it hurts.
Also as soon as I got that necklace that eats arcane streams, champs stopped having them as Syphon can attest.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
My WD should have been dead if it wasn't for some awesome shoulders I have previously. They saved my hide from dying in a HC Expert lvl 66 4 man rift .

Mine feels so much tankier than my Monk ever did, and the only defensive passive I'm running is Hold Your Ground (because I use Punish - Roar).
I'm also not totally sure it doesn't work against all elemental effects. I think it might work against the ones classed as "attacks," which IIRC is at least Fire Chains and Plagued pools.

That looks like a bug with displaying the proper string. Can you hover over that item so we can see what stats that item has and we can probably figure out which one the blank one is meant to be for.

I'm reading that they fixed caches so their drops are set to the difficulty from which they were generated
Any other changes?
is there a source compiling all of the fixes? This thread, the SE thread, and SA's thread have been the only decent sources for general changes I've found
I know I've blocked shit on the ground because I've been standing in things and not noticed at first because I had my block going off provoke.
Yeah, it does block some stuff. It's whatever effects also proc Mantra of Retribution, which is at least Fire Chains and Plagued.
Block triggers on at least: Fire Chains, Plagued, Desecrator, Electrified, Herald of Pestilence arm attacks, Frozen Orb, Frozen, & Tree Walker poison flower attacks.
The best ones are Fire Chains, followed by Electrified as the enemies just kill themselves while I go make a sandwich as I'm blocking and healing for more than it's doing to me. Conversely, Frozen Orb hits too hard and slow for it to make me immune, though with enough enemies around you, you can just heal through the damage.

hmm there might not be a good single source yet
just read it on the bnet forums
also apparently sweeping winds snapshots mythic rhythm. that dmg buff!

Mine felt way squishier than my monk, on comparable gear. I used Divine Fortress because 30% more armor is actually good, and Wrathful for heals. Like, facetanking t1 was mostly no problem, but past that I had to kite a lot of stuff my monk had no problems with.
Later on my wizard I watched a crusader dying to stuff that didn't get past my deflection shields, that was kind of hilarious. Though, my wizard was already quite tanky by that point.

Also I had the worst luck in a neph rift. Finished the first stage at 98% procced the guardian within shouting range of like 6 different groups of champs, and it was tyreal's lieutenant with all his frosting, AND Syphon than joined my game in the midst of all this madness.

If you want to experience unkillable Crusaders, grab as much block chance as you can, run Punish, and take Renewal. You can now never die.
Aren't Crusaders missing the passive 30% damage reduction that monks and barbs get?
Yes but they also are always running with a shield and their builds tend to make it so that 30% damage reduction does not appear to be necessary from what I was seeing.
My second class set item. First was crusader shoulders, now Tal's amulet for my wizard! 71-151 damage, 675 int, 97% crit dmg, and after some attempts got 10% crit on it too. It's.. nice? :>
Too bad I'm not having much luck with a1 bounties for the reduced set requirement ring. Seen it drop for many guildies already, but it continues to evade me.
So where is the optimal place to gear up for someone who can handle act 1 t1 somewhat reliably? Stick it out in act 1?
Also jesus I wish the other legendary craft items had the same kind of drop rate as the adventurers journal, though I did get a cartographers thingy this morning.

Legendary craft items come from specific areas, mobs, or containers. Adventurers journal drops off any breakable in the game.

Yes.
They don't really need it. As is my Crusader dies way, way less frequently than my Monk did. I think with the DR they'd be unkillable.
Yeah, it does block some stuff. It's whatever effects also proc Mantra of Retribution, which is at least Fire Chains and Plagued.
Yeah, they don't get it at all.
It has an effect that all condemned enemies also trigger a condemned explosion!

Something evidently has our characters in limbo so we can't retrieve our hero lists. No murdertimes for us.
yeah just tested this and normal caches seem to be hotfixed
rip split normal leg farming
I have no idea why they decided to make Bombardment the Crusader badass hard-hitting attack when Falling Sword is RIGHT THERE.
And neph rifts are just whichever mobs you feel comfortable with? I hate reaper trash mobs, so they are out.
