It's made the rounds, but always good to see it again since Blizzard does not make clear what the stat does.
AD is a really nice dps boost when fighting trash and many elite packs. And you can get a nice chunk of it through Paragon Points so you don't have to use up item slot stats if you don't want.
Makes me really tempted to try finding some AD on my Lightning Wiz build. With Fulminator in there already, the AD potential is pretty nice for big packs.
I leveled my Wizard to 70 yesterday and just with rare drops and some legacy gear I'm at ~615k DPS and ~3M toughness. I've stacked CDR up to 40% and I'm using Glacial Spike, Frozen Orb and Blackhole. I absolutely love that spell, it reminds of Singularity from Mass Effect. Ragdolls everywhere! Does anyone have a fun build for a fresh 70 that doesn't rely on specialized gear?
Maltheal was kind enough to drop a new Triumvirate for me, though my skills aren't taking advantage of it right now, and I may switch back to my old one since it had 9 APoC. I've always liked Disintegrate, maybe I'll try that and re-roll some Arcane damage on my gear and switch in the Unwavering Will passive.

Guess I just need another 200 paragon levels to max out area damage next.
Man alive this morning was a great drop morning. Like got the aughild plans, got an angelic shard, got a monk two hand staff that seemed odd (orange text was "Slap"?), got an Axe from the bounty bag that gives you a chance on killing enemies and breaking stuff to get 20% of your resource back with a socket, and then to top it off I got the westmarch shield with the wolf proc, also with a socket on it and increased block chance!
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Nice! I got a pretty big upgrade yesterday too, it was a last second drop in a rift from a gob. Figure I need to reroll the damage for higher at some point, but going to leave it alone for now.

Yeah, start burning them for a Cindercoat. That'll really tie your gear and spec together.
Also, are you normally running Deadly Reach or is that not what you usually run? You should probably be using WotHF: FoF, it's quite a bit better than any other skill/rune a monk can use other than niche setups, like having a Shard of Hate.
Irontoe Mudsputters, Goldskin, Aquila Cuirass, Magefist and a Blackthorne's Hauberk that rolled naturally with armor, mainstat, vit and 3 sockets, so I can just keep changing the mainstat from int to dex to rotate it between my monk and wizard! It's quite handy, really. All the other legendaries rolled with more or less complete shit for stat distribution and quality.

I do, I run it just for the spirit gen. I haven't run FoF in a while and my gear has improved significantly since then, I'll give it another run.
I have a weird hunch that "smartloot" looks at your resistances if you are monk and drops greater than average single resists of that type. Of all the armor legendaries that I've found, only two haven't had a fire affix on them.
That seems way outside a standard deviation.
That or Fire is just weighted to occur more frequently or something.

I got a legendary tribal mask last night on my Witch Doctor, I was so excited! Then I identified it, and it was Split Tusk. Why does that even exist? Guaranteed +XP on kill, life regen and max mana, plus 3 other affixes. It's like, you know, why bother making THAT a legendary?
Yeah, this is part of the problem with a lot of the legendary items in D3. Some are just merely rare items with higher roll caps, it's pretty shitty.
That seems mostly the case for weapons more so than armor, and thats where I'm more sad, because weapons can be real game changers, or they can be the spear arawhatever.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I whipped up a maxed out topaz and decided to throw it in my helm to see if it had any appreciable affect.
Well it's hardly a respectable sample size, and it may just be real stupid luck (random is random after all). But this morning:

It was raining legendaries. I can't conclude anything, but my gut reaction is the gem is having a huge effect.

Yeah, last night I was plowing through T2 or T3 with some buddies and I think I found 5 or 6 legs + 1 leg mat in the span of one rift. It was nuts! I really expect that to never happen again. It's a little tempting to slap a gem like that in a spare helm when grouping just to see what happens.
it's clear to me that I've used all my loot karma for a good long while; all I get are awful legendary rings
the worst was an SoJ that has mostly the right stats (crit damage and primary stat), but with the worst possible rolls. It will probably still be an upgrade once I burn enough amethysts to reroll crit chance on it, but still, frustrating

God I can't wait to try out my wolf shield. As a crusader I can assume I'll be launching wolves everywhere.

Not sure if it helps me either, but two of my followers have poorly rolled Nagelrings and I use Asheara's, so perhaps if the timing is right they give me a tiny bump. Now that I have my weapons of mass destruction, I figure I could concede a little bit in the name of finding more stuff. MF really should be 100% axed from the game though, and just increase drops across the board a little more.

I mean, an actual, notable difference. In a rather small(4 hours) sample size, he doubled us up on legendary amount. Some of it might be luck.
But the next day, we all had bad runs. He had "normal" runs (at least 1 leg per rift full clear).
