A program to run things in a window?

Hey guys, what I am looking for is a program that will run something in a window. For example, I love me fom FFVII, but the pc version always defaults to fullscreen and there is no window option. Does such a program exist that will make something run in a window? Thanks!

    If I remember right, go into the shortcut's properties, and in the "target" line, add -w right after .exe.

    I don't remember if it has to be before or after "

    Weird. First result for google search "forced window mode" brings up a forum message that specifically lists FFVII and FFVIII as examples.

    Anyway, clicky clicky. Scroll to the last message at the bottom.

    Basically, it lists a program (available here or here) for forcing FFVIII into a window. Apparently it works with FFVII as well, but you have to manually force the program to use the FFVII executable instead of the FFVIII one.

    Hope it works.
