Ah yes, that place. WHen I was there the spider didn't even get to move from the spot so all the corpses were in the exact same position and ended up being impossible to loot.
So, I'm 18 on my sorcerer... but I discovered that I like healing a lot and now I'm kind of considering re-rolling a templar, what with having actual healing ults.

Sorcerers are great healers. Weapon damage increases healing done with the restoration staff, and since Surge does just that it's a good pairing. Sorcerers have better magicka management than the Templar, too. You don't have to make a new character if you want to be a healer.

Storm calling ult can be morphed to give mana back on autos. That's great for a healer in this format.
Weeell. I'm a high elf on top of sorcerer, so I already have 9% more mana regen in combat from the racial alone. So far I've never had mana problems. (Knock on wood)
Sorcerer's are goddamn amazing. They can pretty much do anything and be great at it. I was farming giant packs of tigers/crocodiles in a public dungeon in zone 2 with destro staff and overload. So much loot! I think out of all the classes they have best ultimates, each one is extremely good at a specific thing and all are AoE!
So champion mobs are something that are balanced around groups, right? It's not like if you're really good and your gear is decent you can survive? I seem to see them inside a lot of public dungeon quests and no one else is ever around to help kill it.
@jdarksun@Badwrong We need to decide on a Home Campaign, and possibly without bothering with a vote. Simple common sense judgement should be enough to discern which one would be better. Badwrong and I have seen that Wabbajack is easy to get onto despite it saying 'locked' for our faction. I put forth that as my choice, unless a better option is presented.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
How does queuing work for the dungeons in other alliance zones? Can you teleport to them when queued? Can't see them on my map.
Once you do (though it may be just enter) the dungeon for your alliance the other two will show up on your map and can be teleported to. You can't leave them (you'll wind up back where you teleported from), of course.

Sorcerers even get a third weapon bar, which makes them clearly superior to everyone else. (Overload uses its own bar... and you can only customize it with the ult up. Thankfully, it's a cheap ult and fills lightning fast when AoEing with Lightning Splash/Form)

It's not actually locked, that's just the icon for full. I heard folk say we have to queue to get in - is that the case? Considering that the PVP campaigns are just going to get more full, are you OK if that continues to be the case?
I'm deferring to @Badwrong and anybody else who has been doing PVP for the past week. If you say Wabba is good, let's jack it. I'm happy as long as I get to fire off some catapults and gank in a group.
The game has fully released, a weekend has passed and there's not been -too- much of a difference in populations. The only other one which gets kind of full on all sides is Skull Crusher in the late evening hours, but I suspect that is because of Oceanic players.

I would just go for wabbajack for now. You can change after 24 hours. I've guested to a few others too, most are pretty empty or very one sided.
So far Chrysamere has been the best one I have guested on. Not to one sided and certainly not full. We might wanna guest there and try it as a group someone, see how it goes.
Can anyone tell me if you get points towards leveling your crafting skill by researching? I've been having trouble telling.
I don't think so but, not 100% sure on that. I don't pay close enough attention.
edit: it does, guildies just confirmed.
Just to further confirm, yes, researching weapon / armor mod abilities does grant skill XP / IP. I know this because I logged on with a character and immediately gained a level in the skill id been researching while offline.
I'm stuck in the low bank account blues. Can't access my 30 days of game time because I won't try and authorize the sub when I do not have the $15 available in my account yet. Payday is Thursday, then I can join the reindeer games again!
Side note. After you have 10 people in guild, let's say I murder them all, and boot them. Do I lose the Guild bank?
A great first weekend. I've been bouncing between a sorcerer and Templar mostly. No idea on skills I want so I have quite a few skill points saved up.
As a die hard crafter the only thing I hate at the moment is inventory and bank space.
So it says my login information is incorrect
But I can log into my account on the website with the same info just fine
stop being weeeiiird
So on the website you login with your email address.
In the game you use your user id.
...yes, this seems really weird.
I hope this is an attempt at humour
Oh, no, I wasn't trying to take a jab at you, whoops. It's a real thing people have run into. On the website you can login using your email, but it won't work in the game, which actually IS weird and leads to confusion.
Might not be your issue, of course, but during the betas it came up pretty often.

This game needs to implement songs like LOTRO. My kitty needs to play Eye of the Tiger while waiting for portals to respawn because the portals fail often.

It could also implement hidden achievements from LOTRO. They were awesome, especially those involving eating various food types.
This game really does make me want to reinstall Oblivion.
I'm tempted to do that, too, but then I'd have to spend all day downloading and installing mods. I'm not yet sure if I want to take that plunge.
I almost went to install it too. I went to the guide you made, and decided nope nope nope nope nope.
I forgot all about that guide. I just looked at it and had the same reaction. It's also fairly outdated now and I'm sure half the links don't work anymore.

Also, templars burninate the countryside.

While we could, I don't know that there's that many of us with alts. I mean, hell, I'm a chronic altaholic and I haven't rolled another char yet.
