I'm really starting to worry about Miguel Cabrera this year...
It's 56 ABs, and it is cold as hell right now, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If he still has a sub .850 OPS this time in May - then you start to worry. And the Tigers should REALLY worry.
I'm just panicking. 2 home runs this week from what should be one of the stoutest home run lineups in our league... Makes me nervous
I think homers are down in the early going all over because of the cold weather in most of the country. I know the Orioles have hit a TON of warning track doubles/ fly outs. the secnd the weather gets a little warmer balls are going to start flying.

They could teach the Astros a thing or two. I drew the Astros in my 13 run pool at work this year. So far they've scored something like 6 different totals and done several multiples of 1s and 0s and 2s and 3s. Making me sad.

Felix Dubrount seems to have the Orioles' number in the early going.
Also, I hate Fenway. I mean I get it - classic awesome weird stadium, but I hate stadiums that seem to have weird quirks just because. I hate watching a fenway game on TV and inevitably you hear "That is a homer/ popout/ single in any other stadium," maddening as a visiting team's fans.
Of course I understand that this is the sourest of grapes. (even though the Orioles have done very well in fenway over the last few years.)

No Goose, the problem is the Yankees' age and expense mean they are very very thin. There is not a lot of help for when things go wrong. And a lot has gone wrong so far - a lot of it has to do with their age.
No, it still being April makes the problems easier. Also the Jays and Yanks are tied for the lead as of today.
If the Yankees and Jays are still tied for first this point in June, then I will concede. However, using standings not even through April as a justification for anything is pretty poor.
The point is this, Tex is coming back, but the fact he is was already out combined with a horrific spring and decline over the last two full seasons you have to be concerned about this.
Losing Nova puts an already thin rotation in an even bigger spot.
You do a bat flip on a ball that goes off the wall and get pissy when getting called out on it? Then start swinging your helmet around too? Ridiculous.

Yeah because that's totally going to last with his robust 4.46 xFIP.

Morneau is going to hit 30 home runs this year apparently.

Obviously. But he's on a silly run of good luck at the moment.
The hits just keep on coming in NYC.

Playing nearly half your games against the Jays, Astros, and Cubs will hide a lot of problems.

Oh yeah that first series against the Jays was rough. Especially that McGowan game. Orioles had no business losing that game.
