So I'm bad at this. Beyond any other fps I've played this game seems like it relies I map familiarity. Not just knowing the map but knowing how to move (which evolves with your skills) within it
I can't imagine being competetive any time soon because I'm a particularly slow map learner
Try to hoof it not long after any time you fire your gun on account of the radar tracking recent gunfire, not movement. So if you stay in one spot and just shoot from there, everyone will know where you are and you won't be alerted that they're coming for you. But if you just get out of dodge after engaging something and look for something else to engage, it won't know you're coming.

After playing all this time, I didn't realize that's how the radar worked
Wow I feel dumb

It honestly doesn't take long to get the hang of things and for it all to start clicking into place.
Personally I find Bounty easiest to get the hang of because you have a rough idea where pilots are going to fight although getting the knack of banking is probably the trickiest aspect.
You shouldn't have to worry about unlocking stuff as the starting stuff is actually all very good; I still use the first assault rifle and grenade launcher for instance.
If I can perform ok with my crap reactions and rubbish aim, I'm sure others can as well.
So anyway! I played some 24/7 angel city and it's a lot of fun . The only bad thing is when you get hardpoint and free weekend potatoes for a team. Glad people are trying it though
Greatly appreciate how easy it is to get around angel city too , missed that map . Now the just need to add colony and the museum from 1
I love the free weekend people. I've been having good games so far and I lovended Angel City. Scorch is a beast on that map when you know how to navigate it. Especially on hardpoint.
Forgot about the free weekend. Wondered why I was doing so well earlier >_<
I've had a realisation with the Grappling Hook, you can actually dictate a fair bit of where you go with wasd in flight. I also saw a tip that you can alter how it behaves with where you aim as youre being pulled and even 'whip' at the end of a swing using these. I'm already getting about really well just using these in the most basic ways. Occasionally I've pulled off some mad flings and such. I bet you can fly like an Eagle if you actually get good.
I also managed a hilarious kill with it. I've hit plenty of flying kicks by grappling onto pilots on the move, but this one was on a guy who was sniping out a window. Instead of pulling me toward him it pulled him to me. I could see him kind of wiggling in confusion while he slipped to his doom.
Still despise Tone but I love the game and I noticed that Tone doesn't show up in large quantities outside of Attrition. Conclusion, play less Attrition. This goes out to everyone.
And on the subject of the grappling hook. Hitting a Stim Pilot and kicking them down is just outstanding.
I'm really liking the Sidewinder. It handles the way I want the L-Star to. Plus "automatic micro-missile launcher" is as conceptually appealing to me as a plasma LMG, which is to say, very.

Never! Although Attrition has far too many reapers for its own good.
Oh man, I actually had forgotten the sage old advice about crouching your titan in electric smoke to kill people that are trying to rodeo you. Ended up picking up four or five kills in one match due to it. Felt good.

Man. The Wingman Elite when you get in the grove feels real good. Run around a corner and pop a pilot in the head for a 1 shot kill. Double taps to the body. When your aim is on point this becomes a god tier weapon.
When your aim is not on point then you are constantly berating yourself and your shit aim.
The Wingman Elite seems like it would be super overpowered if it wasn't for the fact that you can't really ever afford to run a pistol secondary.
Sidewinder + Wingman Elite + Anti-Titan Turrets. You can afford to run a Pistol secondary. Infact the Wingman and the Shot Pistol are probably some of the strongest weapons in the game.
Unless I'm misremembering, the hemlock was garbage in titanfall 1. Don't really remember anyone using something other then the 201 now that I think about it.
I've found a large enough network that we can generally populate whatever game mode we feel like, but yes, at this point I recognise 60% of players I see in games from playing against them previously.
The data center I connect to seems to have 2k + matchmaking in the more popular modes (bounty, attrition, hardpoint) at all times and several hundred for the less popular modes at all times. So probably 8k + people on one data center (Virginia, US, datacenter). Seems pretty healthy on ps4 on the east coast. Sucks that its not like that for everyone
I love the map with the central raised ledge over an alley, with particle wall you can hop up there first thing in a match and hose down the two or three opponents climbing up.
Gotta move it before they respawn, but it's strangely consistent
Tried this with the free weekend. Only took 3 matches and the existence of a sp campaign to go ahead and drop the 35 on it. Should be a nice change of pace with bf1.

1 game of double xp, a Colosseum ticket, and a chance at: a special Ion paintjob, a special execution, or early/permanent Ronin unlock.

I was treating the wall run like Lucio from OW and it's much more forgiving than that.
I can see how this game is fun. Getting a double kill by stim bouncing off walls in a hall while hip firing an smg just feels so good.
When things are remotely clicking you feel like a ninja of death
Ohhhhh is the character model dictated by your ability? That's useful to know. I did wonder why fat guys were always cloaking
It's a special power us fat people have in real life too.

IMO Ion cannons like that should totally collide and push each other backwards.

Always like stuff like that . I could have called the top titans blind but the weapons surprised me.

Top weapons was easy for me since it's the same three from the first game.

Today is the highest I've seen since I started playing, I hope lots of them stick around.
Want to play co-op games? Feel free to hit me up!
I've been top 1-3 every time since. It's fun I guess and allows for me to Titan more since I do better
But I miss the mid wall run kills etc that would happen in the midst of me not doing well
