I have a spare bed and a couch! Well a bed-couch and a couch. But if people are feeling energetic and want to move furniture around, the bed-couch folds out to a double.
there is a bar near my parents house called the piratz tavern
it is a pirate themed tavern (surprise) and I don't know what it was like before the pirates movies came out but now about half the waiters are just doing their best johnny depp impressions, but it is still a dumb fun place to drink every now and then
This wouldn't happen to be in around the Maryland area at a town called Silver Springs, would it? Cause if it is, hoo-boy, that bar is definitely the subject of one of the better known episodes of Bar Rescue. The host and the bar owners-n-employees butted heads so badly, the latter not only ripped out the (admittedly debatable) improvements made by the show, they got rid of all of it in a very destructive manor.

I understand it's Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival this weekend, so I guess you could go to that and feel piratey if anyone was in the area. And my brother's shanty group are performing there, so there's that.

I am basically ON the area.
though frankly the festival is kind of a pain because it's impossible to actually get a drink anywhere.

1 1/2 ounces Captain Morgan rum
3 ounces brewed lemon tea
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 ounce sour mix
Ice
Lemon wedge, for garnish
Trust me on this one, folks.

I'm a tremendous fan of Pusser's and always keep a bottle or two stocked in my bar. However, I pulled that grog recipe from one of the best cocktail joints in the country and it is really really good.
Go ahead and use any dark rum for it and I think you'll be good go.
Sadly, I don't think a black rum like Kraken would work all that well, but that doesn't discount how good the rum is. Just not good in that application.

I like to think myself a discerning games player. I explore the far reaches of video games in search of fascinating systems, profound experiences, and deep truths. Also, I cannot stop beaming at Doom II imps dressed up as pirates whose hats drift lazily down to the ground after you blow them away with a flintlock. That’s Pirate Doom, a mod giving everything a piratical makeover with twenty-odd new levels, pirate hats, rum, beer, beards, peg legs, cannons, and ripped Monkey Island music.

3 ounces brewed lemon tea
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 ounce sour mix
Ice

Sounds pretty good
gonna try it.
I hit up the lounge where the recipe is from this weekend. It's awesome, but I think at home I would add a 2 ounces of rum and it would be better.
Enjoy.

I remember as a child, thinking pirates didn't exist. After all, my first exposure to pirates was Peter Pan, a movie where there were fairies, mermaids, flying children, and racist caricatures of Natives. None of those existed in real life, so why would pirates exist?
When I found out later in elementary school that at one period of time, pirates DID exist, it was a glorious epiphany. Sure, they didn't exist in this day and age, but at one time, they did exist.

I don't know how quality they will be though.

Sure, we've had Guybrush (mighty pirate!) make an apperance. But have we heard the best pirate song (ever) yet?!?
This must be remedied.
