Pop icon and knock-out home renovator Vanilla Ice ditches his high tech power tools and moves to Amish country to learn the lost art of hand craftsmanship. Go inside the largest Amish settlement in the U.S. as a group of young men and women help him tackle construction projects ranging from kitchen additions to traditional barn raisings — all without nails and screws. He’ll earn his keep working on the farm as he learns to embrace the simpler life and become fully immersed in the unique culture that has been isolated from the rest of the world.

Late to this conversation but,
I can't stand permanently missable shit in games where there is no way you would be able to find it on your own. That is legitimately the worst thing. It doesn't anything to the game.
I still haven't finished Tales of Vesperia because of that. It's like the game pulled the proverbial football away before you could kick it.
Also points of no return are only ok if they are super explicit about when they are going to happen. Straight up popping up a textbox with "hey you can't come back if you ride this elevator" or whatever is the best way to do them.
I dunno is it really a lost art if there are masters of it currently practicing and teaching, it ain't bronze sword smithing, I don't feel confident about your premise Vanilla Ice reality show

Are you talking about the secret missions?
I agree those suck but I don't think they give you anything that matters?

Well yeah those. And the missable special moves, and the costumes, and items, and skits. There's so much dumb shit you can permanently miss in ToV it's insane.
And none of it is really required to beat the game or anything, but knowing that I've missed it because I wasn't checking a guide after doing literally anything killed my enthusiasm for that game.
I'm the guy that played FF8 only drawing magic to use, never using physical attacks (I have magic why would I punch anyone???) and using my Guardian Force summon attacks constantly instead of keeping them junctioned. This made boss battles literally last hours and hours and hours and hours whilst I did shit for damage.
You wanna talk about playing a game blind I'm your man.
i wasn't around when it was talked about but i could see maybe
MAYBE
liking Superstar Saga more than Mario RPG
the other mario and luigi games just haven't grabbed me at all. Partners in Time was straight-up butts, I don't remember anything about my time playing bowser's inside story, and Dream Team made me turn it off and uninstall it in frustration after an hour straight of tutorials and kindergarten-level puzzle-solving

Is it just me, or does it seem like Chincy is learning something new about FE:A on every page that everyone already knew? Like, my reaction to the whole thing was basically:
"I missed Kellam."
Wait, isn't that a tutorial mission?
"I don't look at the bottom screen."
I...what?
"Wait, you can save in multiple slots?"
Okay, that's it! I'm out!

I would say Mario RPG is better than Partners in Time and Super Paper Mario. Maybe Bowsers Inside Story.
But yeah, I would take either of the other two Paper Marios or Super Star Saga over it anyday.
I really need to get around to playing Dream Team.

Pretty much!
I also don't think "but its always been like that" is really a defense of the game not explaining something, but yeah I missed the recruitment tutorial
Now that I know how saves work I'll give it one more shot

I'm glad I am not the only one completely baffled by that show
Steam
Maybe in the later megamans when I didn't write down what colors the password bubbles were
and I lost it
I honestly am still not sure if it was a "real" reality show or a mockumentary or what
The other option would be "Vanilla Ice Goes Amish"
Steam
holy shit this exists too
What the hell, TV producers
A gallery of demons howls with laughter
I don't even
It didn't last long.

I'm pretty sure it's the former. I think I saw a developer diary about it a little while ago.
Edit: Yup, here it is.

I'm pretty sure he made vanilla ice cream at some point. So you know, he's used to going out on a limb.

I'm okay with this.
