Hi, I am not sure if this is the right section to post.
The last time I saw this comic was like 1 or 2 years ago, and now I can't seem to find it anywhere... well, more like really buried in the trenches of internet. I have no idea what the comic name was so I guess that is why I have a hard time finding it. But basically it is a somewhat long but single comic strip about some hero who was on some kind of journey to rescue some girl. He went through a lot of obstacles and got to become more visually badass. In the end, there was some time skip and he finally found the girl. But it turned out that she was fine for a long while and was sleeping with some other guy at some fancy place. When the hero and girl met, you can see that the hero was disappointed. Then the girl was surprised as he decided to leave her there and kind of went on a new journey.
I think another good clue is that the art is full color and VERY similar to Penny Arcade's. I am not sure if it is actually a Penny Arcade comic, but I can't seem to find it on everywhere on this site.
Additional details on comic - He brings her a blue flower, but she's gone and he thinks she was kidnapped. Goes through all sorts of stuff, becomes a slave at one point, is a badass when he finds her, and she had actually ridden off with the bandits on her own. The last shot is of him leaping from the window, dropping the flower he'd carried all that way

Edit: This is hard to find. Don't remember the title or author but the strip is clear in my mind
Don't use GIS through the site, I regret that.
Edited - Not easy to find it... going to keep trying.
