Bleh... I have a feeling that it will be Wednesday, based on past history and the fact that Wednesday is day 100... But I know nothing. I'm getting called "the gal who cried PAX" on my facebook page for my "TODAY IS THE DAY" posts...

Also, going back a few pages - my father has said that he will tweet Khoo and offer me, as his firstborn, so he can get tickets. I don't know whether to be proud that I turned him in to a PAXer after one year or offended that all it takes is PAX tickets to sell me off.

Just think, your whole life you were basically one bad day away from being sold to the gypsies.

    Fair enough, yeah. :)

So once badges are all sold, does this thread get closed/go away? I'll miss you guys!
When badges go on sale, this thread will close. A new thread will open for that.

As far as continuing being here, there are loads of community events that get planned on the forums between now and PAX. They will usually get started once registration happens. You should stick around for those! Also there's a lot of other sections on the PA forums for discussing all sorts of other stuff.

Last Prime there was also a PAX without PAX event planned by and for people who didn't get tickets. It seems possible something similar will happen this year. So anyone unfortunate to not get badgers can still have reasons to come back here.

I know when I went to the GW2 anniversary party they said you actually didn't need to be a PAX attendee for that. So some events that happen at the same time aren't PAX only. Still worth it to hang out around there hehe.

Just off the top of my head. Triwizard pub crawl, the 2 separate pre-PAX boardgame nights, the hangouts in the Sheraton every night, the west coast train ride, pre-PAX dinner, and then a million separate meet-and-greets with devs and personalities. And also parties.

Actual parties like Twitch throws? No idea, even if I was so inclined, it sounds like people have wildly differing times at them. Developer meetups? Follow all the ones you like on Twitter. Also, follow any kind of company/site blog they run. That's also important for getting to the meetups, since those often move if it's a "let's meet at this bar" kind of thing. I know Giant Bomb usually goes out with their fans after their panel (Friday late).

Some of you seem to be naïve enough to think that PAX is that important to Showclix in the scheme of their business. They service THOUSANDS of events all over the country every year. PAX is just one of those thousands. A literal blip in their overall workload for the year.

Do not make it out to be more than it is - nothing.

It's nothing, I agree, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that PAX isn't an important client for Showclix. Considering that Showclix has melted over pax badges multiple times now, at the very least they're an infrastructure tester.

It was a JOKE! Like those memes that make silly comments based off a picture all over the internet. I can see them visiting Seattle as a matter of course though. It's not so much that Pax is "so important" as it is that they get a lot of money from this deal, and with any good deal, you want it to be done right. The sheer amount of traffic that is produced from the Badges going on sale is enough to be a professional concern. As any good professional will do, they are covering all the bases that they should to make sure this whole thing is a success. That is what separates the pro from the amateur. It would be naïve to assume they wouldn't make sure of such things if they could.

Please for the love Pax calm down!!

Well, hygiene is certainly one of many reasons against it.....
