Perhaps I'm not reading the patch notes fully, but did they reduce the CD on your "port"? I just got back into the game like 4 days ago (Thanks alot, SE Star Wars Thread)
Edit: I can't apparently read a couple posts ahead of me...time to go to bed.
As a subscriber its only 6 minutes right now. On top of speeder training and all of the skills now not costing anything, its fucking glorious.
And that's just if you haven't bought all the account-wide cooldowns... I have zero cooldown on anything anymore. Completely fantastic.

I thought they were only server-wide (i.e. Legacy).

The increased mobility through speeder training and ports may be what gets me back into this game, for a bit. That's very exciting.
It saves me like 15 minutes every time I run through the Makeb staged weekly. I have a lot of level 60 characters that need elite comms, so this has saved me a lot of time just this week.
Oh cool. The outfit designer lets you dye green quality gear.
yeah i'm really impressed with the outfit designer. At first i thought it was kind of redundant what with the armor mods and all but now i love it
I like it too, and was equally skeptical at first. However, the outfit designer, while great, is lacking a couple of features that would make it just about perfect.
1) Weapons. I just found a couple of pistols I really like for my gunslinger; don't make me spend 50k credits to pull out the mods from the 192 offhand and put them in when I don't have to do that with any of my other gear, Bioware.
2) Naming outfits. It's just "outfit 1, outfit 2", etc. Being able to name them might not have any cosmetic effect except inside your head, but it's important to me. If a character has a lot of outfits (and some of my characters will, oh yes), it would also make for easier navigation.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

It even has blocked-off passages that were obviously intended to have something added. Most people figured it would have a daily area like CZ or Oricon.
Hopefully it isn't something they've forgotten about.
So I resubbed, cause I want to play through some of the class stories again.
I LOVE the story in this game, and I just came back after like two years, quitting just before the rakghoul dungeons went live. Story-wise, focusing on single player or casual group content (stuff I wouldn't be banging my head against if I use the group finder) what kind of stuff should I be hitting up? Anything must-see or should be skipped?
Yeah. They actually initially said it would be "indefinitely", but they changed it to something more defined almost immediately. I have to think some people complained about the idea of eternal boosted xp.

To be fair, they listened and are providing a way to turn the boosted XP on and off, which I like. I know a number of people who want to replay through the story missions, but don't want to do all of the side quests again.
Is the op still accurate with where people are playing at?
Kind of tooling around with this again due to the holiday, but my characters are all low level enough that I am considering switching servers to play where other people are.

yeah the op is more or less accurate still. There are less people playing at the moment, but still a PA population on Jedi Covenant for sure, and at least one person on Shadowlands.
The Inq's Alderaan story is pretty good if you're running things Light-sided.
You really get to see how douchey/stupid a Jedi can be. The Alderaan Jedi from the Warrior story would probably be shaking his head at the one in the Inq's story.
Just finished Sith Inquisitor. It had some cool moments but didn't hold up to the smuggler or sith warrior stories. Going to roll femshep next. Usually I walk away from the game for few months after finishing a class, but 12x exp cannot be ignored.

Bounty Hunter's a good story. Gets into mostly filler-territory during the second chapter but it's still a pretty good one and has some nice moments like what occurs after the final boss fight on Makeb...
...where the BH, as a nice act towards a dying Imperial officer, takes the job of keeping the Empire from dying as well for a single credit.
Trying to finish up the Inquisitor storyline on Alderaan but the quest takes me to an area where every single enemy is a big goddamn gold-star hero and all enemies attack in groups of 3 or 4 and I'm dead in like ten seconds
Is there any benefit to getting a stronghold? Or is it just a credit sink?
You can easily set up your own Utility Area, where you have all the things you need in a small confined space.
Like GTN hub, Cargo Hold, Legacy Storage, Guild Bank, Mail Box, Merchant (for selling vendor trash; performing repairs), etc.
Also, where else are you going to place that sweet walker trophy you got from downing the Yavin IV Walker boss?
It only becomes a credit sink if you like outfitting your Doll Action Figure House with rare trophies that you buy on the GTN.

It also made for a convenient way to get to fleet quickly (prior to the reduced emergency fleet pass cooldown) and whichever planet your stronghold is on. Plus I want to say it's the only place you can have a legacy storage hold. On top of that you can also put resource nodes there, but they have a long cooldown.
I don't think the 12x Class Story Boost stacks with any other boosts.
Which is fortunate, since otherwise you'd risk being way to over leveled as soon as you completed your second class quest.

Then again, if you do get to high a level, the missions grey out, and you get back on track. So I wouldn't be to worried about it.

May 4th, and that will last until fall.

Perfect! I took that day off of work to celebrate Star Wars Day!
Hopefully it isn't something they've forgotten about.

No cooldown quick travel is the single greatest thing they've ever done.
3DS: 1650-8480-6786
Switch: SW-0653-8208-4705
But if I can skip them all now and just do the story stuff, that's cool.

I can see the story I wanted to without having to play the same planet quests again and again and again!
Speaking of, my Inquisitor is on Alderaan and man this planet is dulllllllllll and also I am dying a lot more than I remember.

Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
"We need to talk about you murdering all of those people."
"It was self defense."
"Ok well anyway back to the mission at hand."
Did I...did I..just jedi mind trick my master?
The lack of consequence with the Order ended up causing me to delete my Consular.

There is one inside an instance on the north side of the river, just for inquisitiors, you can see it on the map.
