I'm waiting for this engine remake to get done before playing Daggerfall.
It's gonna be a while.
Haven't they been working on a daggerfall engine for like 15 years
It's been a while.
But it isn't just smoke and mirrors because the engine is built up enough that you can use it to run around Daggerfall at reasonable non-dos resolutions with some texture filtering.
It's just one person so maybe they'll never line up the time to actually finish the thing but I'm hoping we get something playable in the next couple years.
Speaking of Raven related things, I had gotten Ravensword: Shadowlands in a humble bundle. I thought maybe it was some older low budget game. I could see from the screenshots it was some sort of third person fantasy RPG style thing, but that was all I got from it
Then I loaded it up. Powered by Unity, oops.
Now I ain't gonna go judgin' no indie games, but... I will politely recommend that you not buy it at the suggested retail price of $15... or anything greater than $0
edit: Ah, it's a port of a mobile game. It makes a little more sense now

War is good for business
Now I want a CoD Star Trek game. Or just Elite Force 3 with better multiplayer.
