I'll be honest, though. Your watercolor/ink stuff blows away your computer stuff.
Keep it up!
thank you for the kind words.
i like kind of like wobbly lines, dunno if thats a good thing. i've actually been trying to improve my line work. anyone have any suggestions to any books on the subject?
as for the digital stuff, i just got the tablet a few weeks ago, and been teaching myself.
once you get the inherent learning curve down, approach your digital art the way you treat your traditional stuff, because that's what's really boss. overall I see you have some skill. Keep it up.
The first water color picture is pretty damn cool.
I say this to alot of people, but you should probably play with your line variations. Some of them are pretty good, but others are kinda like this one:http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/4848/sketch11bwnm7.jpg
wher there are only 2 different types. Thick, and then.

I'd say your traditional media work kicks your digital work' ass. So, you know, do that more. They say around here that the better grip you have on traditional media, the better your digital stuff will get.
Well he's got a damn good grip on his water colors. So as far as digital goes it's just getting comfortable with it. Looks like you're headed in the right direction btw.

Yeah, but you recognized hue changes and I always have a hard time with that...which leads me to think there might be something (else) wrong with my brain. Or maybe it's practice that does it. Hell, I don't know. Don't listen to me.
Is it just me or does M. Bison look like Ronald Reagan?
Your watercolors are quite impressive. Can you give me some tips?
dude, like EVERYONE seems to say that, which was not the intent, but i suppose pretty funny.
as far as watercolor goes, i work a lot of wet on wet, and then, i have a hair dryer ready and dry it quick (doesn't affect the paint in any way) and move to the next layer. i like to use pen as well, which i know some people seem to feel strongly against, but i really like the look of it.
i also use the tube watercolors....i kinda figured you assumed that, but many people seem to not even realize they exist which blows my mind.
Your watercolors are great. For someone who would love to work primarily in watercolors and ink (but can't get control over the flows) some tips would be wonderfully appreciated.
As for your digital stuff, it's definitely improving. The earlier stuff you posted suffers from obvious digital brush strokes, which to me can seem as bad as throwing lens flare on a piece. I think the beauty of digital work is really disguising the "digitalness" of the piece without necessarily hiding the fact that's it's digital, if that makes sense. You're fruit pieces definitely improve on this though, so I have no doubt you'll work wonders with the wacom.
That last design is really cool. I think the squiggly snake-like lines at the top of the picture don't mesh very well with the rest of the picture, though. I honestly think the whole thing would look better without them.
The face sketches are nice, too.

It all looks great but the watercolor pictures are really amazing.

Scary.
M. Bison is Ronald Reagan, stupid!

Those blood effects kick all sorts of ass.
The watercolors are really expressive.
Plus, the apple looks delicious. :^:
