PA WoW guilds were from before my time joining the forums and becoming accustomed to this corner of the Internet. In WoW I was apart of a few raiding guilds, and helped found one and lead a part of it as paladin officer on Executus PvE. So it has been with many of my MMO experiences. And what others say about PA guilds dropping off fast is definitely true.
I will say though, that the times there are a majority of PAers, almost all of them are cool people and on the ball, and it's a memorable time. Time will tell if Wildstar can buck the trend and become the beginning of something longer and just as special. Even though I played GW2 for a month and in the PA guilds during SWTOR launch for about the same time, I still have good memories of those times, and look forward to many more here.
I think GW2 still has a huge PA presence. Could be helped by the fact that there isn't a monthly sub. Also not sure about how FF14 guild is doing still, but before I left it was really active with I think 4 raid groups?
I am soooo torn on class. I want to love Esper, but I am hesitant to play a stationary class in a game that is leveraging tactical moment so strongly. I enjoyed Medic, want a hybrid build to DPS / splash heal kinda thing. Loved my tanking rouge in Rift, so Stalker is calling too. Spellslinger was also fun but I have had only the opportunity to play to <lvl 10 in anything so it is just too hard to make the call... will have to play it all and see what bubbles to the top.

Guys, I am in choice paralysis so bad here. I will likely make multiple characters anyway (duh), but I'm still torn on that first and main character I'll inevitably spend most of my time with. Medic and engineer are in the lead to the point of being tied with equal levels of awesome for me. I'll be an Exile hero/rebel scum for sure, so I'll basically be making Simon Tam the Human medic or a Mordesh engineer. Tron heals/zappin' or zombie robot master. I don't know! ;_;

During Aion's launch there were channels for each class, and whenever someone new would join the Chanter channel, we would greet them with: "Welcome to Chanter! Get a staff, slot crit runes."

Whenever you guys determine a Server I'm telling my guild to roll on the same server, that way if (when) people lose interest I can just try and join you blokes.
Sooo, they just posted a message on the French side of the Wildstar forums that translates to this:
We will list the servers tomorrow at 18 am (Paris time)
While this isn't confirmation that they'll be giving US server names too, it does look like they're aiming towards the 72 part of the 24-72 hour window. Good news for us pollers.

Not exactly. The maintenance isn't until tonight, there's still a good 11 hours for them to potentially do an Ops test.
