Crosby is one of the hardest working people in the league, he isnt afraid of going in the slot and in front of the net, the kid is great. One of my good friends played hockey with Crosby all the way up until Crosby was 15, and played with him during Christmas, the kid is fucking unreal, he doesn't dive.
I was at the World Juniors Gold medal game in Halifax when it was Canada vs Russia, Ovekchin went down like he was shot when no one was around him, then they had to blow the whistle cause he couldnt get up. He did manage to be on the ice the next shift though like there was nothing wrong with him. You wanna know why no one else says anything about Ovekchin diving, cause Crosby is 30 points ahead of him and winning the Art Ross. I dont know how he manages to do that between all the diving he does.
Stop saying shit about Crosby, he is the best player in the league and is only 19, and he is leading his team.
No one's disputing his skills as an amazing player, but that doesn't change the fact that he whines a lot and has been exaggerating the hits he takes on a fairly frequent basis. And sometimes it's downright painful to watch how bad his acting is...like that one time this season when he curled up in a ball on the ice after getting lightly poked to make it look like a spear, and the refs just stood around waiting for him to stop acting like a retard.
He needs to learn what to do and what not to do, and he will the more time he spends in the NHL. Just, right now, he's a whiner and a diver on top of being a highly skilled player. Gretzky was the same way in his first few years. Get over it.
