Transistor is the upcoming title from Supergiant Games, creators of the very popular Bastion.
Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites players to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as they fight through a stunning futuristic city. The game seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, melding responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling. During the course of the adventure, players will piece together the Transistor’s mysteries as they pursue its former owners.
Red is the main character of Transistor, and is latest Cloudbank citizen to have their voice stolen. The Transistor is a powerful weapon and Red's only companion, it speaks in the deepest, smoothest voice possible.

I am super excited for this game you guys, possibly more than any other game coming out this year. I played the first 20 minutes at pax east and it was god damn incredible, the art and sound and gameplay were all tops and even if "seamless" is always an exaggeration this game does do a fantastic job of combining the action gameplay with the pause-and-plan mechanics.

I am so damn excited for this game.
Most anticipated title of this year, by a huge margin.
I pre-ordered the PS4 version last week

In Bastion, Rucks was sort of omnipotent since he was just telling the story of how they got here while he was waiting for The Kid to finish the job
In Transistor, the narrator is the Transistor, and he's talking directly TO Red and to you the player as a result rather than ABOUT you in Bastion
He's directly present in the story rather than telling it after the fact

A worse developer would've gone "well the main character CAN'T be a girl, girls can't carry swords that heavy!"
But this is Supergiant so the main character is a badass-looking lady crushing stuff with a giant sword and riding a motorcycle
