Okay, I can't wait any longer. I don't even have the patience to buy P4G on amazon. buying now on PS+!
How long does this game take, anyway?
Eight months, give or take.
+Two Months if you play the sequel, P4Arena afterwords.
That is incredibly intimidating and exciting. Does it ever get slow?
I was being facetious. That's the in-game time by the clock.
But it's long. The only really slow point is the extremely long intro before you ever get into any dungeons or combat. It's to ease you into the setting and characters and relationships.
I thought the whole pace of P4 was pretty slow. How much % of the game goes by introducting new characters and not getting that much closer to the murderer? I was still completely hooked and it's one of my favourite games of all time, but the plot is not moving that fast.
My first clear clocked in around 80 hours incidentally.

So I'm up to Act 3 of Muramasa and really loving the shit out of it. But something that bugs me is some barriers I can't go through. Not that that is what bugs me about it - I have no idea how to tell if I can, either through the map or when next to it.
Is it more a case of follow the arrow and you can't break barriers early?

Hello new P4G player. Know two things:
* The game takes 80 hours at the low end, and you can spend 100 easily. And that's not getting into New Game+.
* Don't go to the Persona thread, it is kind of fucked right now with respect to spoilers.
Welcome.

Finished my first playthrough of Producing Perfection. I am enjoying the characters, and will do at least a couple more playthroughs, but is the technical meter (the circular bar that fills during a concert) just arbitrary? As I progressed with Noire, each concert that meter filled less. What am I doing wrong?
When the crowd starts chanting or cheering, that's when you fire off your stage effects. Also, change camera angles and pan the camera around to fill the meter too. Transforming also boosts the amount of meter that stage effects give you. The bigger concerts are harder to fill too since there's more people in the audience I guess.
Also, my new pretty arrived!

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
so I finally went to buy this stuff - it says it can't access my wallet, or that I have to wait a day. What's that about?
- edit: nevermind, there seems to be some sort of money-region lock going on.

Just keep killing bosses. Each boss you kill is what gives you a new ability to break different barriers. There is some backtracking in the game and so you will inevitably go back through some barriers. Also some barriers are broken just to provide shortcuts to other areas as you need to go back places for certain items (not all shops have every item!).
Got back into Guacamelee! and tore through most of the game in two days. I have the final boss area left to go, some exploration cleanup after and I'm done.

Ah, okay, I think it was the "bigger concerts are harder to fill" part that was getting me. I started playthrough #2 with Neptune and indeed that meter is back to normal progression. I have refined my approach a bit, knowing that there is a certain "correct" arrangement of camera angles for a song and that seems to trigger when the crowd cheers. Also, nice at the Monohime.

Also still playing Monster Monpiece. I'm multiple chapters and multiple decks in and have yet to hit any kind of alleged free to play paywall, so I'm beginning to think that was total nonsense. I've rolled most AI opponents and had fair challenge with a couple other ones. I've gotten dozens of cards from playing the game without paying a dime. Really not seeing the objection with this aspect. Should probably go online some time.
There is, of course, the molestation aspect. So there's always THAT.
How many Rare cards do you have? As in, Rare versions of the common cards? The only one that I remember receiving through the campaign was the story-based character cards.
Not sure exactly what you mean by the Rare cards, but I've purchased card packs from the in game store with the in game currency and gotten a number of +1 cards. I imagine there are probably some +2s, but haven't seen any yet.
Like bss I haven't felt the need pay real money for anything.

Isn't Momo an awesome figure? I just picked up the Play Arts Kai figures of MGS1 Snake, Meryl and 2013 Tomb Raider last week,
And they look pretty damn cool - Snake in particular is a fantastic representation - but Momohime remains the crown jewel of my (very small) collection.

The one crack I have managed to avoid so far is figures. I have a posable FFXIII Lightning, and a couple simpler P4 Naoto things, and that's pretty much it. Oh wait, a small posable P4A Labrys, too. And some LE bonus items here and there. Maybe I haven't avoided it much afterall, come to think of it.

Sigh, not having a 32 or 64gb card is getting painful. I had to delete Gravity Rush and Dynasty Warriors Next (albeit, two games I am not particularly keen on) so I could have space for the DLC for Borderlands 2 and Sly Cooper 3 (and later Sly Cooper 4).
Having a 64GB card is like having a queen-sized bed. It's just sooo comfortable to have all that room.
I have a queen-sized bed but my wife is in it, so it's closer to a twin considering the way she sprawls.
I imagine putting all my full-sized Vita releases on a 64GB card would be a similar experience.
I have all the Vita games, is what I am saying.

So I am two trophies away from platinuming Sly 2 and NONE of that time was spent grinding or doing anything obnoxious. Just pretty much playing the game.
Have I mentioned how ridiculously good the second game is? Much better than the first in every respective way. I really recommend it and I shall start on Sly 3 tomorrow!
All this Sly talk and I never even tried any of those games.
They're good, right? That's why everybody is talking about them.

The first game is an exercise in masochism in places, but the second game is fantastic and apparently the third game was actually the best of the lot (so I am really looking forward to playing it).
Say, is someone going to post any interesting/new Vita info from E3 in here? I WAS keeping up with the E3 thready, but lapsed a few hours and suddenly I'm over 600 posts behind. NOPE. If not, I guess I'll find out stuff eventually.

Sorry, nothing new announced for Vita during the Microsoft conference.

Sony is at 6pm PST. Something could be announced this afternoon during EA or Ubi, but I'm guessing any big news will be reserved for Sony.

That is so very, very awesome. I'd given up on the old PC copy due to glitching, couldn't be happier. So, will this hit PSN tomorrow, or do we have to wait until next week?
I hope I can just use my JP Vita TV, but yeah, kind of excited. It definitely has the potential to get some good sales going here, as I've always felt. I guess my wishing, what with the PSMobile stuff talking about Vita TV, didn't ruin everything. And right, now you can PS4 Remote Play to another TV. It's pretty awesome!
