Is it ok to swap between memory cards on the vita? it doesnt mess things like saves etc up does it?

Do it when the Vita's off and you should be fine. Of course the saves are either saved directly to the game cart, or on the memory card, so if you are planning on using a save on both memory cards, you'll have to use PS+ or a content manager to bridge saves. Other than that, nothing should be unusual, though I think your bubbles may get jumbled around if you're not careful with how both cards are organized.

Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer sounds interesting. Apparently it's based on a physical game I'd never heard of either. Will have to remember to keep an eye out for it.

Edit: I can't read, PS Blog link already included above.

Ascension is awesome, I have both the physical version and the iOS version and usually have 4-6 games running at all times on my phone.

Got Rin's ending last night on Otaku, completing all the girls in Akiba's Trip :D

Great game. Just need to get my 100 store flyers and buy something in all the shops now.

I don't typically go for card-based games but Ascension is pretty fun. I used to play it all the time on my iPad before it was stolen and I never bought it for Android. Never played the physical version, either.

Also finally finished up the story in Monster Monpiece. Pretty much just have the online matches left now, but I use my Vita at work so it isn't online :(

Is this to say the multiplayer is asynchronous, or is that offline play?

Here's one of the character acquisition cutscenes from VP1. I just picked one at random. Pretty good demonstration of what kind of weird the game is, though.

You'll also notice that when Lenneth is briefly on the world map, it says "Period 4/24". The game has a countdown to Ragnarok, after which you need to beat the game. This limits you from seeing all the content in the game (and most of it is simply not available unless you're playing the game on hard), so the game requires multiple playthroughs to see everything.

Dammit, now I have the urge to play it again. I probably left the game on the world map just to hear the song. There was a PSP release, wasn't there?

Yeah, there was a PSP remake called Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Square-Enix never bothered to release it on PSN. No idea if it's better than the original or not, I've only ever played the PS1 version.

This one I might understand. I've heard from some unsavory types that Lenneth runs like shit off a memory card. Coupled with the fact that Square Enix couldn't optimize their way out of a paper bag and maybe it's a blessing we never got a PSN version of Lenneth.

What I mean is it something akin to play-by-email where I don't need to be on the same time as my opponent? Because that'd be really cool.

Nidhogg (amazing competitive game) is coming to Vita with PS4 cross-buy and netplay, including against PS4s, and also Vita ad-hoc.

You can play async, real time, or against ai. The beauty of the async/real time system is that it'll switch to real time from async while all the players are online and willing to take turns in succession. As soon as someone closes the app/logs out of the game, it returns to async.

The async works where you take a turn, and wait for your opponent(s) to take their turns(the game uses the phone notification system to alert you of your turn). The time you can set for a game on iOS is in hours to up to 28 days to complete, my friends and I just set 28 days in case we are unavailable for a few days to take a turn.

This is kinda me hoping since there's no talk of this yet, but since they announced recently that Dust an Elysian Tail is coming to PS4, I'm hoping perhaps it'll come to Vita and be cross-buy as well. Hasn't been anything to scratch my Metroidvania itch like that in a long time, and it'd look downright STUNNING on Vita's screen.

Apparently there's an updated version of PSIV on the Japanese PSN for about $10. It has a few bug fixes and tweaks, and the English mode is in there, according to TSR. The first two games got full remakes/updates as well!

So....Soul Sacrifice....I'm not sure to do with rumors. I see they give bonuses, but I'm not sure when the best time to use them is. Or really how to stack sigils into something useful...I also went with the Grim faction, but should I be doing fate for everything, or only when I need to renew an offering? So much stuff in this game!

Apply rumors early and often. They drop like candy (CANDY, I say!), and I'm having trouble keeping my list down below the 127 rumor maximum limit. Always apply as many rumors as possible to every fight. You'll eventually get to the point where you'll have to start deleting them (I've deleted something like 90% of the rumors that I earn).

For sigils, I tend to use either Drubbing (Force damage) Sigils or Avalon sigils for the upper arm, Sigils that buff my specific offerings for the lower arm (usually my main damaging offering), and a sigil that buffs both attack and defense for the hand (if possible).

I tend to slot a pair of XP bonus or Sacr./Save bonus rumors before most fights to advance my leveling faster. This game has a pseudo-prestige system, where you can reduce your 100 levels back down to 2, in exchange for a heart sigil that gives a massive bonus to one offering type (locked to a faction... Throws, for example, only give their heart sigil bonus when you are in Grim). It's called Rite of Transmutation and you should do it as often as possible (every time you do it, you get an XXL XP rumor that lasts for 5 fights, allowing you to quickly level back to fighting strength again).

The game really expects you to switch allegiances as you see fit, so don't be afraid to do so.

As Grim, you should use Fate for pretty much everything. Most of your bonuses from Grim come from being equal in Life and Magic levels, and choosing Fate will eventually even out your levels between the two. Being Neutral has less tolerance than being Magic-focused or Life-focused (if you are off by just one level, you lose Neutrality). Grim is probably the best faction to start out on your first 100 levels, because of its Weapon magic synergy and the fact that you won't be a glass cannon or a damage-less tank.

I'm really enjoying it, and I have never been a Monster Hunter guy either. This may change that I think. I also bought Rogue Legacy, but man I stink at that. Around level 50 now and I still get smoked in the forest...and on the way to the forest...a lot... :(

Rogue Legacy has a steep learning curve, but then it clicks and your week is over, what the fuck.

Delisting makes it unavailable, even from your download list, though you of course still own it when it comes back. I'd wager that you can't redeem a code for it while it's delisted either, but even if you could, delisting is an absolute stop until Vita firmware update and/or patched game image.
