    In terms of the Greenpeace, no, I'm really not buying it. I'm not buying that people responded to it because they have some idealistic view of how research should be done and that Greenpeace violated those principles. I believe they responded the way they did because it made Sony look good, and therefore it needed to be squashed somehow. The fact that it was just a dumb report that barely has business being in a gaming conversation never entered the picture, which gave the whole thing a funny kick. That is about as simply as I can say it.

    It was posted in the sales thread too (where it's slightly more relevant although not really) and the same points were brought up.

    Actually, I don't care about the Greenpeace report. At all. Why should I?

    I agree, that had no business being here. But the first reaction was to squash to report .. not to question why it was there. I thought that was really funny.

    He doesn't get beaten up for his pro-PS3 views, he gets beaten up because he's a massive asshole.

    In fact, he's the reason I warned you about not sounding like a jerk when defending the PS3 and making it look worse by association, because he's notorious for it.

    The only PS3 fans that get picked on by the community at large are the ones who are too dense to argue a proper point or are complete assholes. Same as the 360 and Wii fans.

    I'm locking this thread because I'm tired of the bickering. I'm sure a new version will crop up eventually.
