I would hazard a guess that when people say they live in SF it is like when they say they live in LA.
That is to say they do not live in the city proper but live in an adjacent area you have never heard of.

It makes me wonder what the guys' financial situations are, since a few of them live in SF proper. Brad mentioned rent control and living with his GF, but what about guys like Drew? Or Alexis? Drew never mentions roommates at all.
I think if Zoe Quinn wanted to move to SF, she wouldn't have any real issue finding roommates also in game dev to live with, like maybe Mattie Brice and other indie devs who are getting pushed out.
