@The Brayster if you're keen for DM'ing a Steam thread RPG, you can add me to the list of willing participants! I'm Australian so I keep odd-hours compared to the Yanks and Brits around here, but I'm on a pretty good working roster at the moment, so it shouldn't be an issue. I'll just have to practice my ocker accent to bring life to a sun-scorched shaman from a distant and ancient island, who is able to conjure up familiar spirits like the Rainbow Serpent and the Drop Bear with an enchanted didgeridoo
It's like the scene in movies where they discover the serial killer's lair.
You made me laugh.
so the "hits hired" are "tombstones" of people who have gifted me. the "hits compelted" are gifts I have given back. Also I have turned some birthdays I found out into tombstones for keeping if needed.
The tombstones came from @pixelated pixie and a contest she ran a year ago. It was a hit-man contest in the thread. I made her a tombstone of everyone that played and was assassinated. I kept the vector art for the tombstone and used it as my avatar for a while. My orginal aviatar was a boat. After the contest, during last years summer sale I ran a digital comic that ended in a gift bomb. Lots were hit by said bomb. Art can be found here. At one point @hit bit made avatar art for everyone in scriblenots. I used that art for while, which is close to my current boat in my avatar. After playing bastion, I made him into am image I use in big picture mode for bastion. This had become my latest avatar.
So know you know what to much about my art. If you want more, well click graphics me in my sig below.
Edit:
Also note, that the bunnies are from @berylline and those are hers. She was gracious enough to let one under special watch be with yarn. I know it isn't thread, but Pft. The ones with pixie are about her continued threats to take over the world. Yet, all I she is her just giving everyone pink things.
Many things happen in this thread. It is crazy to look back were we have been.
It's not even sale time yet and @shdwcaster is hitting me with mysterious codes for Marvel Heroes

Reading this thread is like walking down Classy Road.
You all is good folks.
Edit: And a Steam thread RPG certainly could be interesting.

How is the Dead Rising 2 port on the PC? I got rid of my console copy when I decided to go PC/Nintendo but really liked it. Does it run well? I'm working on re-building my wishlist for Summer Sale (the email reminders are super helpful when I'm at work).
It is fun, more fun in Off the Record which gives you a freeplay mode that doesn't have the time limits and lets you level up and get money for the storyline. Play dead rising 2 for the story, play dead rising 2: Off the Record for Frank West and freeplay.
They seriously remade much of the game in an entire piece of dlc that plays much better than the core game. Even has an extra boss, not to mention.....Chuck Green *shakes head and chuckles*
I completed every card drop for every game I own before the summer sale!
I still need a shitton of cards for said games to complete their badges but assuming there's the usual "Spend $X to get more Y" that should just benefit me in the end.
Overall I'm not really going to have a lot of money for the sale itself, but that's fine because backlog.
Ok, I'm gonna do the skyrim thing. I'll play for 10 hours if we beak 3k. Every 250 after 3k, someone who breaks that amount gets to pick a mod to throw on the pile. to make sure we have a minimum of horribleness, 5 mods should be suggested
I'd say no NSFW stuff, but honestly stuff like dildo arrows is ok in my book. occasional nudity isnt a huge issue I guess? I just meant the not safe for life type stuff that I know exists. Thomas the tank engine and randy savage dragon would be amazing, I've seen those before. I saw a tropical overhaul and now I am avoiding looking at video/images out of excitement for good/terrible things.
@Nackmatholn has agreed to curate for me. PM him with your suggestions to get started.
I'll contact a mod to see if its ok for him to do a pm group thing to discuss the mods with the 250 breakers.
Steam thread, I am disappoint. This thing has been up for hours and nobody has sent me any mods to torture @DiannoChong with yet? For shame. I have ideas mind you, but I'm trying to stay hands off since I will be the one to administer the torture. PM me folks! Mod pre-requisites, such as SKSE will not count towards the number of mods inflicted. Let's do this!

I'm not gonna make it. Even having done some pure idling. Still have 6 games with cards untapped. Might get it down to 5 tonight. 25 cards total. But one is for DOTA (not included in the 6/5)which I don't want to install just for one card.
Ok, there has been some kerfluffle about the 24 hour Bad Rats stream stretch goal and whether or not it was serious.
Fifteen thousand dollars is a lot of money. It's enough to buy a new car. One and a half jet skis. Two doctor visits at an American hospital (I keed I keed). But seriously though, it's a significant amount of money.
Fuck. H-h-here I go.
If you guys hit $15,001 donated to Child's Play before the end of the Summer Sale than I'll do it, but it'll be completely separate from the streams that myself, corrigan, krummith, and bery are going to be doing.
Meaning, if we hit $15k the Bad Rats stream will be in addition to the stream that will be held later in the month, and it will be at a date to be decided later by myself and the thread. I would need some serious preparation for 24 hours of Bad Rats.
Maybe we can get together and record some slightly drunken gaming for the amusement of others.
I warn you, I play a vicious drunk air hockey.
Two drunk guys playing a game with extremely fast moving solid plastic discs?
Is Sniper Elite V2 just a slow cover shooter with poor graphcis and no story focused around shooting people in the vital organs?
The story is about how you shoot people in those vital organs. The big draw for me was the bullet physics. Taking into account distance, wind, etc, and landing a eyeball busting head shot is still quite pleasing.

Graphics are not bad, but story is forgettable. There are vicious bugs nestled in the game.
But the core mechanics are extremely satisfying. Great coop fun as well.

I imagine (but won't promise) that PA Card Sharks will make a resurgence at least for trading for the mystery cards.
How do y'all generally do gifting? Look at people's wishlists and pick something from there? Or just a random game? And if you aren't friends with them on Steam can you even gift? I'm asking for a friend...

Wishlists are always a good idea, or if you really like a game and want more people to try it out, or just a game that seems interesting, even if they only play it for a short while. Basically the act of gifting is the fun part, hopefully the person will enjoy it. For instance something I really like is to gift copies of Magical Drop V, because its usually like 99 cents, and its multiplayer, and its fun. And its usually something most people wont try out on their own, a lot of people might find it engaging and a fun puzzle game.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/252690/ this is the D&D kind of game I want to try, has anyone played it? Its stupid expensive, so I dont think its worth trying on a whim, but I'd love to hear what other people have to say about it. I've never done a tabletop rpg session, but I think it could be super interesting to get one going online.
What's the consensus on this? Presumably everyone playing would need the game right? @corriganX

Well you can either have everyone spend $40 on it, or one guy can spend $40 + $114, and get the gigantopack, which lets an infinite number of Demo versions connect and play off the one host. So its stupid expensive either way, lets see what the sale does for prices.

Profile stalking is a time-honored tradition around these parts. If the wishlist isn't enough, look for what they have in their library and take a guess at what they might enjoy. Also consider games you really enjoy playing and would recommend to just about anybody (Recettear is one of mine). We might not get to every game in our inventory, or even most of them, but a sincere gift - or even one gifted in spite, or for pretty much any reason - will not be turned away.
Gifts can be sent to email addresses instead of Steam friends; I believe they get converted to codes, but I haven't actually tried it that way myself so I'm not sure. I do know that codes from other sources - Humble Bundles, Kickstarter backer rewards, etc. - can be redeemed by anybody, so it's not uncommon for them to get PMed directly to people, or even get tossed in the thread first-come-first-serve.
Above all, just dive in, watch for big sales, and have fun with it.

Origin: Galedrid - Nintendo: Galedrid/3222-6858-1045
Blizzard: Galedrid#1367 - FFXIV: Galedrid Kingshand
I started both at the same time :P
Vanilla seems more story oriented, Breakdown is more "gamey" about surviving stages.

I felt this deserved a repost for anyone who's new to the steaming and may have missed it in the op.
I've also made one in more a flowchart style if that's your thing
