Has anyone played Sir, You are Being Hunted? It sounds fun, like a video game version of Surviving the Game...
I like the idea of it more than the actual game. It's got an awesome style and parts of it (like the items and village names) are genuinely hilarious. Unfortunately the game is really frustrating and once you get good at it it's not even particularly interesting. If it's cheap some time (like under $10) I'd definitely recommend it just for the experience, but I can't imagine anyone will stick with it for very long.

Thanks - sounds like one of those games to wait and buy when it is in a bundle sometime then.
Hoping Aarklash Legacy goes on a good sale so I can spread the love for it a bit. Way overlooked game, not helped by the fact it hasn't had a decent sale on Steam yet I don't think.
Tabletop Simulator - Is it good for running the RPG? Not really.
For other games? Hell yeah! There's a lot of potential there. A quick glimpse at the Workshop reveals that modders have created several popular boardgames for use on the table. So there's that.
I'm hoping for a good Kerbals sale. At the very least even with the budget I have for this sale I love doing the community votes and watching the thread go apenuts.
I nabbed the Defense Grid 2 beta last night. It just felt so right.
They've got some cool stuff in there. I'm hoping that they put controller support in at some point though. I know that TD is typically a mouse genre, but I played DG on 360 first and that's just what feels right for it to me now.

I fell back immediately into "As many upgraded Gun towers as possible". It's not pretty, but it kills stuff dead.

@CorriganX Are we still accepting games bought from our local hospital's wish lists towards our goals? I still have fears of donating money to our local hospital and them buying a copy of bad rats for the kids.
Their wish list also has some pretty good games that I'd like to see the kids get.

I loves me some gun towers. The new missiles (feel like a meteor replacement) are very cool though. I love getting one or two super powerful, long range towers and then pathing around with cheap gun towers.

Yes, very much so @anoffday! Post your PROOF in thread and light the iolo & CorriganX @beacons to be beancounted.
I haven't spent much time with the DG2 beta (knocked out a level a week or two ago, I think?), but my ongoing love affair has always been with cannons. Massed meteors work on some maps, but when I want air and ground covered, a giant wall of high explosive shell hurling cannons generally solves just about any problem I might come across.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
Oh, hey, and to add to the good "steam sale" advice over the past few pages;
It's not a guarantee, but I've noticed pretty regularly over the last few years that when the daily sales launch/are announced, they'll often pop up with really weird 'discounts'. Like "-0%". Just give it a minute and refresh, the proper amounts will show up shortly.

It looks pretty sweet. Isthereanydeal has been sending me deals for it all week long, so I suspect there will be a good sale. The lowest I've seen it is $6.50 or so on GOG (As recently as yesterday).
Damn you Earth and your fancy time zones. I thought the sale started at 10AM Eastern. I was so excited when my clock said 7AM. If you'll excuse me I'll be in the corner building a time machine so I can jump ahead 2 1/2 hours.
I saw a werewolf drinkin' a pina colada at Trader Vic's.
And his hair was perfect.
Pardon the sending delay, it's been a busier day. Emails have been sent.
Okay, fine. I'm pulled into SteamThread. On the WORST DAY possible (was gonna try to stay away and just do some charity contributions). But, for the BEST REASON possible! Thanks so very much for Payday 2, @ThreadLife, it's been on my wishlist since it was first announced!
Edit: Wait, what? We weren't Friends on Steam before? How is that even possible? 79 in common!
The tf2 thread has failed me. Could someone clarify why I can't craft hats I buy on the steam marketplace into a bread box? Is there a cool down between purchase and being able to craft the vintage / haunted headwear you purchase?

It'd be fun to go back in time to October 2007 and show this question to TF2 players.
Every single one of you classholes in this thread, whether you're donating directly or providing moral support, inspire me to try to be a better person than I'd otherwise be by default. My shriveled heart rues the day I found this thread, and I seethe with resentment towards you all because of it. Harrumph!
You try to buy something you already owned but forgot you did.
You have to reload your steam wallet.
You buy a game as a gift but by the end of the day its still in your inventory.

i wouldn't say it's exactly worth the 15buck ticket price, but if it comes down in the SummerDale i think i could recommend it.
But gods and fish my wrist and thumb are giving me hell now.

I just hate I had to buy an alternator for my car right here on the cusp of the summer Dale.

Cool. now it will be free today in followence of the law of 'if you buy it today, its cheaper for everyone else tomorrow'.

It was a free beta, which means it'll be double free! or maybe they'll just throw cards at me.
I don't visit these threads nearly as often as I'd like, but whenever I do, it's like coming home.

Getting started with BATTLETECH: Part 1 / Part 2

Long time forum member, very, very new Steam member. Although on this second thing I don't know why because it is an amazing service.
My profile is here and I would very much like access to the PA Group.
Thanks!
edited to add: I am so new to Steam I haven't figured out how to generate a forum tag/box/thingy as of yet.
Karma's a bitch, ain't it?

I may need to b play this. State of Decay gives me really good horrifying vibes.

If any of these things happen to you:
You try to buy something you already owned but forgot you did.
You have to reload your steam wallet.
You buy a game as a gift but by the end of the day its still in your inventory.
You take a shot.
