Oh. I thought it was more more like when people don't think something could happen to them. How how people think they'll never be a victim of something because it usually happens to someone else.

Pretty sure this is just pointing out silly things in video games, not so much social commentary
I didn't know if it was a grenade or the dude's phone or what. He freaked the fuck out and then chucked it at his pals, killing two of them. It was awesome!
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

I wasn't really talking about social commentary, just the meaning of the joke.

Lol, this is pretty much EXACTLY what I imagined happened to justify being able to blow up someones explosives. Then I realized you were making their phone explode, then shifty eyed my cell phone and threw it across the room. Thanks god for Otter Boxes.
"I'm being extremely clever up here and there's no one to stand around looking impressed! What's the point in having you all?!"

I think the most important part is that there is an incorrect punctuation mark ending that last sentence. The horror.
1st ever "Penny-Arcade Hero Academy Tournament" Toilet Bowl Champion!
"You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."
So it is their phone? What the hell is Apple packing in those things these days, C4? It explodes with so much force!
It's not their phone. In the game it says "explosives detected" and when you detonate them some of the guys straight up say "My grenade is gonna blow!"
"Aren't you worried about that cyber vigilante? The one who's going around, hacking all the stuff?"
"Nah, his phone looks like a freaking 80s disco so you can usually tell when he's nearby. See, there he is!" *chucks iBomb*

Yes.
It is nonsense and wonderful.

But theoretically
I suppose so!
That's what I told the judge! Why else would I need kids to diffuse it with their small hands.
In other news, I need to move.
"So, Shadowrun, then?"
Assassin's Creed, actually.
These games are all a part of the Ubiverse.
