I still have faith in CDPR. If their willing to push it back then I hope it's because they want to release it right. Though as with all games there will be bugs.
Finished Roche's path recently after doing Iorveth's a couple of years ago and I think I liked it a bit better this time. Which is saying something considering I liked it quite a lot the first time.
Anyway, I had a question about something that happens in Roche's path that I don't think was resolved, or maybe I just missed it.
After bad stuff happens to the Blue Stripes and Geralt and Roche are talking to Ves about it, Geralt tells Roche that Ves is lying. Is that ever mentioned again? Geralt misinterpreting things? Doesn't really seem like him.

Man, this game was supposed to be a birthday present to myself. Now I have to wait! Ah well, gives me more time to make sure I have enough money to pay off the ridiculous price I paid for the collector's.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's second playable character has been revealed as Ciri.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed you won't be able to switch between her and Geralt at will, but rather at certain moments in the plot you'll assume control of her. These moments will, by the way, be very significant in terms of the story.
She didn't show up in either previous game (like Yennefer), though there are some minor mentions. She's basically the second-most important character in the Witcher series though. Short version is that she has elder blood, is a source like Alvin and was trained as a witcher by Geralt, who raised her as his adopted daughter.
you know that could be the start of the game. training tutorial that both shows off the new controls and game to new players and gives you important background info on ciri and such.
So I haven't read the books (yet) but I'm curious to know about the facial scar on Ciri. Is it just an unexplained battle scar or there's more to it? Spoilers if you know.

She was captured by a bounty hunter who forced her to fight in an arena. She eventually escaped, but during the escape she took a shuriken to the face from the bounty hunter.

Sounds correct. However, by bounty hunter, are you referring to Bonhart? I recall it was the character, Stefan Skellen, who was found of using the shuriken.. That being said, both characters certainly made Ciri's life miserable for awhile.
In other news, there's discussion on the official Witcher forums that we should expect to see more news from the press with hands-on coverage of The Witcher 3. It's definitely something to look forward to!

aw fuck. at least i hit the cpu okay but looks like this 4gb ram and hd 6970 isn't going to cut it maybe? we'll see... i don't need 60fps, 25 is fine for me. worried about that ram though.
I'm using SLI'd 6870s so hopefully I can just "power of teamwork" it into decent, but more likely what's going to happen is I'll hold off on actually playing the game until after tax season new computer-ness.

I'm surprised you've lasted this long on 4GB of RAM. Are you running 64-bit Windows 7?
That 6970 was a great card (had a softmodded one for years), but going forward it's going to have a real hard time keeping up with new games.
Really curious about the i7 part of things. Are they actually using more than one or two cores or ate they just brute forcing it with that much power?
How do you mean? The min rec is also a quadcore, the i7 is just a better one, and really every game ends up putting some i7 or another in its recommended list.

I thought they did Polish first and then translated to English.
Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst
Edit- Embed no work, so link will have to do.
I guess it gives me more time to play through the second path in The Witcher 2 before release and work my way through DA: I

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
There are references to her in the first two games but she's not spelled out.

I usually don't like Improbable Fantasy Eyecolors (TM), but that is a really cool green.
Vesemir has the ultimate old man pose going there.
Only if you've read some of the novels (I have, which is why I'm super-excited for Ciri and Yennefer).
Character's facing the wrong way, so we can't be sure.
