I am not getting my hopes up on anything crazy, but announcing new titles through E3 on your own streams & at E3 is a good way to keep pulling focus the entire event.
I've already been saying this elsewhere but Link's design in the Wii U game is based on his artwork from the Link's Awakening era of games, folks. He had the long sideburns and everything then.
I'm more referencing the possible extra chest area (which as I said is probably just a billowing shirt)
Make Link a fairy that follows Zelda around saying "Hey! Listen!" as she traverses the world.
"Oh come on Zelda, everyone knows when you go in to a dungeon you need to find the map first! No not that way! Hey! Did you hear me!? Hey! Hey Listen- Oh god what have I become!?"

While I highly doubt the new Link is a girl, simply because I don't think Nintendo has the balls for something so amazing, I do have to say he is rocking those eyelashes.

I don't think there's anything wrong with either option.
I think it would actually be neater to have Link be a lady than Zelda be the main character, because otherwise it would sound like the message is fine, a woman can be the main character, but she can't be THE hero of the series.
Which is also why I think certain people would cry significantly more about Link being female than Zelda having the spotlight for a game.

Personally, I would totally be up for a game with a different protagonist that therefore played differently, and Aonuma wants to push around with the Zelda formula, so I really think it could be done.
This reminds me of that time I actually saw a very interesting idea for a Zelda game (as in Zelda Zelda, with you playing as her, not... oh you know what I mean) by a dude in 4chan, once. It focused a lot on movement puzzles and riddles, and evasive combat with counters and magic since Triforce of Wisdom and stuff, with Zelda's basic item being a magic royal cape that provided partial flight (since the guy liked the whole connection with birds in SS for the royal family). I really liked the idea of "Legend of Zelda from another point of view".

Man, I'm pretty sure EA just doesn't give a fuck anymore. They've had such a shitty rep for so long and yet still make ridiculous amounts of money. I'm convinced they realize they can pretty much do whatever the hell they want and that no amount of backlash will ever put a dent in their revenue.
They could probably shit right on someone's breakfast, charge $60 for it, and still make a mint.

Although the game still has Evil Boob Lady the antagonistic, at least Impa and Zelda have cool designs.
