Al is like a super stand-up guy though, so I won't be surprised at all if he changes the line for live performances or even the video

It occurred to me that Lame Claim to Fame is a song made for me, since all my celebrity meetings are on par with it (seeing a TV vet from behind and at a distance, summoning the store manager for a football star, etc).
Lame Claim to Fame is my least favorite song on the album, but that is a fantastic video. I really like when they make videos that actually enhance the song and add their own style and humor, and don't just try to show exactly what's in the lyrics.
edit:: it helps that I like the music a lot, though I don't really know the band he's mimicking, do they have a similar style in their videos?
my favorite part of that video is all the times dr. demento shows up
I like the My Bologna reference at the beginning. It's kind of humorous when you think of how many people Weird Al really knows.
Also, all the videos seem like they are custom made to be gone through frame by frame. For instance, there's one point where the pushpins spell out something, but I haven't taken the time to figure out what.

I realized how little pop music I am aware of when I couldn't identify most of the songs being parodied. I think I'm the only person in the world who hasn't heard "Happy".

I am becoming increasingly worried though that we aren't going to get a My Own Eyes video featuring the actual Foo Fighters.

like it starts off with just animated photos in the scrapbook and then it moves up to being like a whole papercraft city

al did a quick phone camera record shortly before the filming of tacky began
He does look exactly like the lead singer, definitely has the same feel, although they seem too 'low rent' for complicated animation like that.
If he does the traditional "splice the music videos" for this, I will only accept Colbert's video for "Get Lucky".
Edit: Specifically the Matt Damon Booth section.

But why isn't "lame" being attacked for the same reason?

"Spastic", from what I understand, is very clearly a slur in the UK.
Foo Fighter cameo hopes: dashed.
EDIT: Found a working version
Edit: whoops there are
Doing one for every day of the week plus another Monday is 8 videos
New wish: footage of Foos covering "My Own Eyes" in an actual concert.

That seems like a very TMBG thing to do.
I mean, there are other tribute albums out there, and this idea seems like it would go over well.
