Authenticator. It gets you a red monocle evil eye, an exp boost, and makes sure gold farming hackers don't pillage your stuff. Get yours today.
Except I never got any of those rewards and support says "tough luck, we'll get around to that. Some time."

Got hit by a bug this morning running a few quests before work where Gamma Rays would only ever hit any target once. Or more to the point it seemed like it was only actually firing one laser since I could never even tag a second enemy with one of the side lasers.
There's also a bug that causes Shield Surge to stop working if it's interrupted by a movement skill (like extricate or grapple). Thankfully it seems pretty hard to replicate except maybe in PvP.
All my money and inventory was gone, and I was in a different guild and had some new contacts. Dropped all that immediately after looting the gold farmer's guild bank of 1000's of plat, and sent in a ticket about recovering...

Fixed that for you, right? Right?
They didn't even have one! There was only one other character in it

Oh I am so going and trolling all those medics that used to sit there and shield surge defend the mask
Man, nowhere near enough leather without serious farming.
Yup. Even with Survivalist, you just don't get enough.
I'm assuming you get no leather drops if you attack enemies severely under your level, too. So how are you meant to farm lowbie leather? It's not like you carve the enemies afterwards, it just drops into your materials bag.
Did I mention that I love the materials bag? I love my tradeskill materials bag.

Excellent idea to steal from GW2.
I think I prefer Wildstar's approach to crafting, though. I honestly don't remember much about GW2 crafting other than I decided it wasn't worth doing.
And I love crafting, so...

I am always in favor of making crafting more involved than hitting a button and watching a bar full up.
I wanted to go Technologist with my Sciencey Medic
But I hear it's garbage so I just went Outfitter for now
Well maybe it doesn't give you as powerful of items but you can be credit to guild with boosts and medishots which are always nice, a fair share gadgets and the always sought after refined power cores. Well that is until endgame when people want hybrid power cores which can only obtained from goody bags and salvaging. I think they dropped the ball on that.
Eh I mostly went in for the the power core crafting capabilities which the Committee is welcome to take advantage of and have. Leveling it up wasn't that bad, crafting some of the gadgets could be frustrating since you were using the relic equivalent of gems to make them.
The boosts alas don't last that long but as someone else pointed out they are great for boss fights. Also, I can't name the number of times my self heal gadget saved my squishy Esper's life.
But hey I can understand wanting to be more meaningful in the crafting department.

I feel like if they could at least make on par cores.
That would be a useful niche, at least, while they work out the kinks and literally finish implementing the tradeskill.
Here's the comment is referring to from one of the devs on the official forum a couple days ago,
When it came to post-Expert tradeskills, there really weren't enough resources to do everything. We were faced with a choice: spend the resources to get the biggest impact possible, or spend no resources in the interest of fair. We made a choice and we followed through with it, knowing we'd come back to the Technologist as soon as possible. Some people may find that frustrating, and again, I apologize for any grief it's caused you.
They go on to say that they're looking at possibly rebalancing medishots since they're marginalized by NPC vendors, and giving them more power core options and what have you.
So it's not like it won't improve, it's just a matter of when. If I'm in an optimistic mood later after work maybe I'll just start leveling Technologist on good faith, dunno.

(Really I just wanted to post Space Senator Scuzzbopper.)
I got the attunement quest to the point where I now need silver medals in adventures. I actually quite like the attunement stuff so far. It's all stuff you're likely to be doing anyway so far, peppered with neat additional quests. Silvering all the stuff is gonna be a bit of a pain but overall a good thing to train raiders.
All that said, I'd like to get the raid Circle going soon. Any ideas for names?
edit: Big Dead Heroes was suggested and that is just too damn good to not take.
Jesus H. Galeras is FULL of survivalist bots teleporting between every damn tree.
Stopped playing my stalker a couple of days ago when I first arrived in Wilderrun and saw no less than a dozen bots teleporting all over the place to get trees/shrubs. I reported them all but today they're still there. I don't wanna compete with them for mats so I'm leveling an alt till they're gone.

Hmmm, so the Attunement Key actually attunes you to both the 20 and 40 man raids, according to Carbine. That's nice.
When I recovered my stolen WoW account all my characters' inventories and bank slots were filled with stacks of mats. It was like a welcome back gift.
Yeah not only did the farmers farm me a bunch of mats, blizzard accidently duped all my items. While I was slowly building a gem/mining empire and cornering the AH. So much money.
The bots do have at least one bright side: they occasionally teleport into the flower traps all over the place in Wilderrun, and it's always hilarious to watch them get OM NOM NOM'd.

Going to try and start organizing some Veteran Dungeon (read: Stormtalon) runs in the near future, not just because I'm now on that step of the attunement, but also because the practice even if folks aren't on that step is likely going to be more useful than anything.
From what I've read it is basically cheaper to buy the same consumables.
It probably won't be that way forever, and the power core thing will probably change to some extent too.
One of the devs straight up said Technologist was more or less an unfinished trade skill.
So maybe I'll switch to it later, but doing it right now feels like it would be an exercise in frustration.
I look at the technologist stuff as getting in on the ground floor. Hopefully when they fix a lot of the stuff, I'll just be a tech tree box away from exploiting the changes.

The trees do this a lot of the time. You have to click a second time on the nub to get the last piece. It's dumb.
