For a forum that claims to hate anime as much as you guys do, there is certainly a lot of people willing to join up with the faction that has the most anime per square inch :>

I feel like making a circle called "No Stand Red Place" now.
Almost 49, like right on the very edge, just started the last area of Grimvault tonight. Still got Cryomere and some group stuff prior to Phagelabs, which I have been told should most assuredly be done in a group to make things go faster and more fruitfully.
I wonder how close I will be to 50 by the end of it all and if it will even matter if I am not, like others before me.
So I basically ignored rep vendors after looking at the initial set of stuff in Algaroc, and then just found the one on Farside.
My brain kinda went 'ooooooooooooooooooh', and I went and did a whirlwind tour of the zones I've completed so far. I was wondering where people were getting AMPs and neat Fabkits.

They are a treasure trove of bits and bobs, and are at least partly responsible for why I've only just crested 2 plat.
Plus some of the biome kits are useful as hell. Like the Farside one drops you off in the main camp there, which has a nice convenient ship straight to your capital.
By the way @Anzekay I looked through the guild bank logs and didn't see any indication that you or the hacker took anything from the guild at all. Just letting you know!
Just so anyone who might need to know knows: The "cancel" button on the manage subscription page does NOT cancel your subscription. You have to go to "transaction history: subscriptions" to find the cancel sub button.
It's been super fun, guys! I'm sure I'll be back, but I'm gonna give it a month or so I think.
I don't think I'd gotten a single epic thus far (because most engineer epics are in Malgrave Trail) but then suddenly yesterday I got two, including the only heavy armor from Crimelords.
I'm up to the attunement point where I need silver in all the dungeons, and afterward basically all that's left is killing 10 world bosses. I have to say, attunement is really not as bad as it looked at launch. Most of the steps are fun little intermediate quests.
@Aegis I'm totally up for vet dungeon runs, even though I know they will suck for a while. I'd also like to gold Malgrave trail a time or two and get some of those other epics, but I feel like I'm at the point where I could silver some dungeons. Maybe.

I think I'm going to give this some time to percolate as well. The game is great, but I'm not sure I'm at a point in my life where I can devote the time Wildstar seems to want. 10 years ago, I would've been gushing all over this. Not so much right now.
I don't know what it is but I just don't want to log back on right now. I have fun when I get the urge but if the urge is once a week for a few hours I can't justify a monthly sub for that.
Mostly just huntin' monsters.

I still really love this game, I'm enjoying just messing around at max level, doing dailies, building on the housing plot. Group content has been awesome with the guild. But hey, we've all gotta do what we've gotta do, no reason to stick around if you're not feeling it.
If any of you people leaving are in Big Damn Heroes, please let us know of any characters you have in the guild so we can kick you. We can go by guild note if you've filled it in but there are always people who haven't done so.

Yeah I kind of mirror Sporky's sentiment here. If any folks are leaving either guild, let officers and stuff know so they can either put you into a locked down rank or remove you until whenever

Got through one full Siege this weekend. Must have queue'd for it 4 or 5 times alone or with a partner. I'm starting to find the PuGs in this game to really be killing it for me. I've simply never had such bad luck with PuGs as I do in this game.
Being that group content is my primary reason for playing MMOs and being so slow to level, I fear I'm feeling a little blah on the experience right now.
I did one veteran siege last night. It was the first time for a couple of us. We had 4 deaths and took forever, but we managed to finish with the generator at 100%, so that's definitely a win.
By the way @Anzekay I looked through the guild bank logs and didn't see any indication that you or the hacker took anything from the guild at all. Just letting you know!
So it seems Carbine have locked my account until they can ascertain that it isn't still compromised, and told me to do a bunch of security stuff that I've already done. Guess I'll do most of it again and hope they don't take too long to confirm things.
Speaking of kicking people, we're getting to the point where it's time for the Great Purgening.
Well, maybe not a purge just yet, but we're coming up on the end of the game's first month. The first month sub is up on July 3rd, so for Big Damn Heroes, on the 4th of July I will be moving unplayed characters to the inactive rank. I'm not sure how WildStar's "last online" works, whether 2 weeks and 6 days is "2 weeks" or "3 weeks," but I'll be going by one of those.
Don't worry, inactive people can still talk in guild chat, so if you log in again you can just ask someone to promote you again.
After another month, on August 4th, characters in the inactive rank will be kicked from the guild. This isn't because we hate you, it's just to keep things tidy. Again, you can always come back and whisper an officer for an invite.
Additionally, starting August 4th, any characters or alts under level 10 who haven't been played for 2 weeks will be kicked from the guild. I don't think this is unreasonable, we just don't want to be a guild of bank alts. 2 weeks is plenty of time to get to level 10.
This might be reviewed and revised in the future, but I just wanted to get it out there so people know. It's probably even too lax but I'd rather be more than fair than have it cause any kind of drama. If we have 100 inactives for a month, so be it, we'll live.
@SniperGuy@Maguano@TheKoolEagle@Dr. Phibbs McAthey, I'm going to make an "inactive alt" rank so we don't have to remember if a character used to be an alt or not. No matter who they are, you bump them down twice to make them inactive, and bump them up twice if they return. This means there will be one more rank to promote through when people join (promote 3 times for members, 2 times for alts).
A couple weeks ago I went in to Stormtalon with some guildies. We didn't make it all the way through, but I had tons of fun. Unfortunately the difficulty of the dungeon is nearly prohibitive for PUGs. So now I'm in a weird spot where the only thing I want to do is run dungeons, but as I level there is less actual incentive for me to go (the price goes up for less reward) so I don't really want to out level dungeons. So if i don't think i have the consecutive hours to spend I will just do like ten minutes of questing and then log off for the day.

Sorry we weren't able to get back to that again, I was around and one or two others might've been but for whatever reason it didn't happen.
Don't worry about outleveling dungeons and adventures, though! In fact I highly recommend just getting to max level and starting on veterans, really. It's what I've done and it's been fine. Vet adventures are easy to run as your first time there, especially with a guild group, and you're going to wipe over and over on vet dungeons anyway.
Since they nerfed the XP from group content at the end of beta, the rewards have never really been there. It's not worth it to go while still leveling.
I am super conflicted. I love playing this. I think the combat is fantastic, the crafting is more interesting than alternatives, LAS makes building a character an actual intellectual exercise, there are fun diversions.
But... I feel like there is almost no progress to be made once I hit 50. I can run Vet adventures, which I have done for 5-6 nights now with guild groups, and we've had mixed success (Gold Crimelords, repeated failures on WotW, Bronze Malgrave). So maybe I can eventually have success in all of these and move to dungeons, maybe... Except that the method to get to success is bonkers. WotW is alternately buggy, impossible, or just confusing (complete both objectives, have more totems the entire time, kill 10+ NPCs, your base is under attack... you lose 50 seconds later), and because of this people don't want to do it - and it's the one that has the most gear for me. I hear people getting gold on Malgrave and I'm like... wtf, do you hack to have instant teleports to pick up the things that spawn on the caravan? Because we clear everything, have perfect resources, and then something spawns on top of us and while I'm in a GCD it kills a guy and we lose gold (when it doesn't bug and refuse to let us de-camp as it did last night). And, really, I hate the lose gold->disband as much as anyone else but, the gold epic rewards are about the only upgrades to be had.
I almost want to just get straight into dungeons - I think I'm geared enough with all the crafted stuff I have (I'm uncrittable and have no threat problems and more armor than I see most people talk about on the forums), as then it'd be about interrupts and telegraphs and not weird adventure mechanics, except my epic weapon, and pants, and helm, and chest? I think are all in adventures.
I'm also struggling with gearing through crafting. That you can't see what an item will actually be like until you spend the mats is really tough (not to mention the random specials). I think I've probably wasted all of the Data Fragments I've spent on armor because the normal expert armorsmithing stuff is better half the time (Good Hybrid cores aren't really available and the random specials consume too much of the budget). Put that together with adventure difficulties and trying to put together something like a pre-raid BiS set seems impossible.
So... promise you'll keep letting me tank stuff for you? And that I will find the special sauce for WotW and Malgrave one of these days?
Now that I've got a computer that can actually play this I'm pretty damn impressed. I rolled over on the pvp server, and I'll probably bug someone for an invite tonight. People are still playing over there yeah?
So far I've spent most of my 17 levels murdering people over tiki masks via telekenetic knifespam.

How? What class are you, and how much crit deflect do you need for this to be the case? As many details as you can provide would be great!
Look back a couple pages, I posted a copy-paste of the best data from Beta, that so far has been anecdotally confirmed on live. It's ~13% Crit deflect (actually a little less) to be uncrittable in Veterans.

hey @unclesporky You can remove the alt Buhbbles. I was playing him but I've lost interest in engineer. If I do a tank alt its probably going to be stalker. He's over 10 and he gets logged on every now and then so I can mine his plot but he doesn't need to be in the guild

Still, every time someone gets hacked it's a good reminder that everyone should get 2-factor authentication if at all possible. You don't even need to do it on your phone, you can just do it on your PC using WinAuth. That's how I'm doing it. It's probably less secure if it's all taking place on the same device, but it will still stop hackers.
