@Elin hit me with a copy of "They Breathe" which is apparently a horror game about being trapped under water and fighting over the precious resource oxygen? That does seem terrifying.
Buncha monsters the Steam community. Not voting for the Retro Arcade so I can get Double Dragon Neon. Well, @destroyah87 is a classy guy and did not let my disappointment last. Thank you, sir!
So, @Talus9952 was apparently lurking, awaiting the moment when I was feeling safe and sound. A fortuitous prior gift had rendered me invulnerable against an initial incursion from him. But he was only waiting until I was at peace.
Instead, he feels that I should be shipwrecked on an island, lost and alone, and yet discovering the hidden strength in my female side while learning to raid tombs.
And not in small way. In the Game of the Year way, folks.
As brutal as a limb through a throat, this attack. You've all been warned.
Thanks for the GOTY version of Tomb Raider! You are a madman!

Hey guys, if you're like me and didn't pick up Nosgoth because you didn't really know what it was or how freakin' cool it looks, Humble added the Founder's Pack (the same one Steam had on sale) for Steam's sale price of $4.99
I saw Nosgoth and was like 'Oh yeah, that's the multiplayer shooter based in Legacy of Kain' and shrugged it off. Then I saw some videos/interviews, noticed it had customizable characters, realized it was more like TF2 + Diablo + Legacy of Kain, then I beat myself up for not buying.
Well I've been enjoying State of Decay quite a lot yesterday and today but I just had my first casualty, on the mission where you're supposed to go retrieve the doctor from the dilapidated house where the redneck brothers are holed up, and I am sort of salty about it. It wouldn't bother me if it didn't feel like a bullshit death. Those fatty zombies seem practically immune to gunfire, and I didn't realize that you can aim your thrown weapons by using RMB because the game never tells you, and so I kept missing (and to add insult to injury, getting notifications that I losing trust for supposedly setting an ally on fire, even though nobody was anywhere near where the fire ended up except zeds). I wasted all my molotovs that way, and though I read on various forums that the supply locker in the house is supposed to be full of them, in my game it was totally empty.
Really I feel like the siege missions in general are somewhat questionably designed, because it's almost counter-productive to barricade. The zeds will keep tearing down the barricades eventually unless they're killed, so you basically have to either make a sally out the door, or let the barricades in a couple of spots go down on purpose so that one or two zombies get in at a time and you can thin out their numbers. All the barricades do is keep you from getting swamped by the whole horde getting in the house at once, which is nice, but the game sort of encourages you to think the whole mission revolves around a futile effort to help the NPCs constantly keep the barricades up, which can actually just make missions that already go on too long drag on even more.
Anyway, I'm thinking of starting a new game now that I understand the mechanics of things more and attempting to plan better. What's the deal with cars, though? What do I need to repair them? Because I tend to trash every one I find pretty quick and I am pretty sure I heard no new ones spawn?

I'm familiar with the latter two through play, but not with TF2. Isn't it just one big PvP-fest?

I'm still looking for that illusive summer card 4 if anyone has one. I've got spares of 1,3,9,10.

Now that my console backlog is tamed, I think I'm ready to give in to Steam. Is the Xbox 360 controller the preferred gamepad? (I haven't bought a gamepad in about 15 years).

Yep, can't beat it. If a game has any native controller support, and most do these days, its gonna assume you're using an Xbox 360 pad. Microsoft recently released drivers to let the Xbox One pad work also, but I haven't personally tried that out. I imagine it might be the new king, if more expensive and less likely to already be sitting around the house. No wireless options for the One pad yet either, whereas the right adapters will take care of you if you want to use a wireless 360.

@dresdenphile The 360 controller will be recognized by most major releases of the past few years automatically, just plug and play. The wireless ones with the adapter also work nicely if you can find one.
I am obligated to say that as much as you may be used to a gamepad, keyboard and mouse is a superior control setup for many games on the PC depending on what genres you're interested in playing. But a gamepad is nice to have around.

Yeah...
I didn't care for that mission and haven't played since...for reasons. I'm debating on whether or not to start over (again!). They're 'easier' to take down when there are two of you. Avoid the charge and then go to town. In the same basic way as ferals.
Didn't like that mission anyway. It just took too long and was kind of a distraction by enphasising it was a game level and not...something else.

CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
I'm genuinely surprised it was that low.

I think Steam just killed itself.

Yeah there's only 3 game in the left option for me. Also no vote winners and new flashes. Something broke Steam.
They aren't showing up in regular steam either, at least for me.
..burn it down?
Yeah...
