It's still mathematically possible for France to miss the round of 16. They would need to not only loose but do so by a large margin against Ecuador for that to happen tough and Switzerland would need to rout Honduras as well. Would be quite the epic choke by les bleus if it was to happen.

French players revolt and start scoring own goals from minute one.

Well, if nothing else, Honduras went down swinging against Ecuador. They've still got one more shot, though; we'll see if they can at least take Switzerland's scalp and give some top-to-bottom glory for CONCACAF. It's not like everybody in the continent has to advance in order to prove the point.
EDIT: Meanwhile, FIFA is trying to explain why they drug tested seven Costa Ricans after beating Italy. Officially, it's to make up for tests that didn't get done earlier. Costa Rica is taking it as just more bulletin board material.

I have a new soccer blog The Minnow Tank. Reading it psychically kicks Sepp Blatter in the bean bag.
Missed the Honduras/Ecuador game this morning. How bad was the refereeing?
Not great, but nothing too egregious. Lots of physical play on both sides, and he had to card a Honduras player for dissent after he (correctly) ruled out a goal at the end of the first half.

Actually shocked. He's pretty much the worst ref in a league of bad refs.
So this is completely off-topic from World Cup stuff, but just got back from the first game at Sacramento Republic's new field. Was a ton of fun, and I must say this didn't occur to me: we may have the best food selection/prices of any stadium in the country right now because it's being held at the State Fair location.
The BBC have been putting on the official FIFA films of every World Cup, narrated by folks like Michael Caine and Sean Connery. They're ace. It's 1986 today so I'm currently enjoying watching Brasil miss penalties and their goalkeeper mug a Frenchman and get away scot free. Later, I will watch Maradonna cheat blatantly and then be great beyond belief. I think tomorrow they're showing the 1990 one, so plenty more heartbreak to come.

Are these available by other means like streaming or DVD? I would watch this.

I've been a bit confused over this (seeing people say the ref over-ruled his assistant and called the offside, then booked for dissent) but I thought the call/booking was because the Honduras player hand balled it into the net. Does anyone know what the official reason was?

So my prediction is for Argentina, Bosnia and Germany to win their games tomorrow.
Nope, Sunday.

According to Marca.com, both players are going back to their country.

This might help you understand a little.
Do Argentina even want to win this world cup? Because they don't look like it.
Though I did predict that Argentina's defence/goalkeeper were poor, I didn't expect Iran to be the ones demonstrating it.

Argentina would exist. Their manager wouldn't though.
