Ok, I have been thinking about possible new stretch goals for the charity drive I could help with. Maybe at $5,000? $5,500? Both?
Maybe something a bit similar to Veevee's avatar stretch goal. But for that I would need at least a volunteer.
The idea would be that people who donate between now and the stretch goal would propose and/or vote an avatar composition(s) for the volunteer(s).
Then I would try to make it/them according to the results of the voting and the volunteer would need to used for at least...let's say... maybe a month?
What do you think? Any volunteers in the room?
@Hit Bit : It seems to me like my old avatar went away, I had it since 2005. I would wear whatever you made.
Sang Froid is fun! The only problem I have with it is that they went... a real weird direction in the story-telling.
Like it is difficult to tell if the description "these wolves, however, are being controlled by The Devil" is supposed to be serious or comedic. There's a really weird tone struck in a lot places.
That said all the trapping stuff is great, they're pretty much all involved in a way that makes you feel cool for getting the drop on enemies rather than just calculating the necessary DPS to kill everything without even being there.

Could you think of a most unthinkable summer sale gift than Valiant Hearts: The Great War, that beautiful 110% FEELS game which just got released, literally, today?
Well, apparently @Krummith does not, since he decided to gift it to me!
Seriously people, class beyond imagination!
Arkham City has better boss fights than AC and definitely better than AA
Dunno, that Electrocutioner boss fight in Origins was pretty amazing!
Crap I meant Origin had better bids fights.
Yeah, I was going to say. Origins has the Deathstroke fight, and I can't think of anything in Asylum or City that matches it with the possible exception of the Aquarium boss that I won't name because the reveal is awesome, or Mr. Freeze.
Was in the process of funding my wallet for a fourth time when I decided that I have plenty of games to last for a while. Instead I am making a second donation. Here is a copy and paste from the email.

I think we're going to need you to play and provide a review. I'm interested but love hearing the opinions of others before I buy.
@Shogun has no idea what he has done. I am going to get so many Kerbals killed trying to get to space. All that blood will be on his hands. Thank you dude.
thanks @Drake for The Secret World buddy key! now to see if the game will download in time for me to try it before I go to bed, the installer keeps alternating between 5.5MB/s and 500KB/s

Good luck... because once the installer is done doing its bit, then you have to wait for the launcher to carry on with many gigs of patching as well.
Giveaways ended! Thanks to all who entered, and thanks again for being an awesome, generous community.
Congrats to @KafkaAU on successfully running a copy Shadowrun Returns!
All hail our new royalty, @DHS Odium, who wins Long Live The Queen!
Felicitaciones a @xiears por ganar el Guacamelee videojuego!
Farewell to @Talus9952 as he enters the horrifying darkness of Outlast!
@AdditionalPylons now needs additional materia, and will be getting FFVII!
And potential congratulations to Rochelle, if anybody can help identify just who they are. We don't have any mutual Steam friends, and I can't seem to find anybody with a similar name on the forums who isn't a ghost. Might be looking at a reroll on Typing of the Dead unless somebody can point me in the right direction.
Until then, thanks for entering, I'll be friending and sending along gifts right away!

Hey, what was the Flash deal for X-COM Bureau? I'm going to pick it up as a gift for someone, but I can't remember if 67% is good or not.
Nonsense. Every dollar counts. Every dollar that gets put in is a dollar that Child's Play didn't have before. Some of you guys might think that your small donations aren't significant. Well, a snowflake might not look very significant at first glance, but you get enough of them together and it's an avalanche.
Wow.
GoG has a deep sale on the Spiderweb Software RPGs. All of them for $7.
That is probably a couple thousand hours of classic WRPGs for the price of a burrito...
They aren't as whizz-bang flashy as Skyrim, but they are crafted with love. Less like playing a summer blockbuster and more like playing a D&D campaign crafted by a good friend.
Dudes and Dudettes if you give a flying fuck about oldschool CRPGs than you need to put your wallet into Stacksimum Overdrive and jump on this right quick.
I know you don't want to listen to me because I'm the guy your mother warned you about, but if you ever decide that there will be one time during your adventure here on Crom's green Earth when you will take my advice than let this be that time.
Let this be that time!

Anyone starting to make a list of games they're going to purchase on the last day of the sale in the event those games don't get a daily/flash/community vote? I usually do this, but I've been keeping myself in check this sale and there hasn't been much I really want. That being said, Diehard Dungeon is the only game I have on the list so far, and it's currently already cheap at $1.69. Nothing else stands out to me so far.

yeah, it's the launcher I meant. 17GB!! ouch, still if it carries on at this speed it should be done in 2 hours which will give me time to play a little

I got it + DLC for like three or four bucks.

Secret World Massive Editon, so tempt, much want. I may not get around to playing it for a long time, but 75% is the lowest I've ever seen it from multiple Steam season sales. Should I even if I might not get around to it for a year or so?

I've got the Glitchspace and Rocksmith 2014 DLC that I'm keeping an eye on since it's almost all 25% but that's about it. Other than that, there is nothing else I'm willing to pay current sale price for that I'm not willing to wait for cheaper in the future.
If I get all the DLC I'm looking at, though, that's almost $40 though.

Right now my end of sale list is Baldur's Gate II and Transistor. Got just enough left in the tank to make it happen if they don't get further deals before the end.
I like TSW but I haven't played in a while because of FFXIV. The first zone has an amazing narrative drive and feel. I felt like the second zone lost some of that though. There was a lot going on but it felt like too many different directions at once to really be cohesive
I'm tempted by the TSW Massive bundle for the DLC, and I really shouldn't be. I haven't even looked at that game in at least a year and never finished the content I already had. What strange magic does the Steam sale have!?

Yes. I actually made that list on day one of the games I am already watching that have a default sale discount of 75% or more.

I kinda have my eye on Coldfire Keep and Eschalon: Book 1 so far--heard those Eschalon games are good, so I thought I might jump in.
Was hoping for a sale on Gauntlet and Neo-Scavenger, but it looks like they are sitting this sale out. Also hoping for a better sale on Injustice: Gods Among Us (totally missed it 2-3 weeks ago when it was just seven bucks!)
I take it there is no way to upgrade to TSW Massive Edition from Vanilla?
Unfortunately no. Also it's a pity they did not make the rest of the DLCs available directly in the Steam store as they did with the recently relesed Issue #9.
It looks like it allows me to buy it for myself, even though I have the base game on steam (and all those DLC anyway)
